Carmel Convent School was founded in 1970 for the benefit of the children of Jayanagar and the neighbouring extensions. The school is recognized by the Department of Public Instruction, Karnataka State. The school year begins in June.Today, our school has a strength of around 754 students, a team of well qualified, efficient, experienced and dedicated staff of 20 teachers, 6 non-teaching staff working under the able guidance of the headmistress Sister Maria Priya A.C, an efficient administrator committed to her mission.The school is located in 4th 'T' block, Jayanagar, one of the prestigious localities of Bangalore that houses a large number of highly qualified citizens. It is spread on a vast stretch of 14 acres with spacious, well-ventilated classrooms. There is a vast playground which includes basketball, throw ball and badminton courts.

1. Every candidate for admission must be introduced in person by the parent or guardian who will stand responsible for her conduct, studies and payment of fees.2. Application for admission should be made in the prescribed form and should be accompanied by the Transfer Certificate.3. Admission will ordinarily be closed within 8 days of the reopening.4. No assurance is given that students studying in Std. VII of this school will be admitted to Std. VIII. IT WILL BE DONE ONLY ON THE BASIS OF PAST PERFORMANCE AND BEHAVIOUR.5. Students coming from schools outside the District & Karnataka State will be admitted on production of Transfer Certificates duly countersigned by the Assistant Education Officer.6. Application for Transfer or Conduct Certificate Should be made in writing by the Parent or Guardian either at the end of the term or within the first 5 working days of a term. The terms are from June- September (First Semester) and October-April (Second Semester). A fee of Rs. 50/- will be levied for they Transfer Certificate.7. Students joining or leaving in the middle of a term shall pay fees for the full term. They must settle all dues before taking any certificate.8. The certificate will be usually issued a day after the receipt of the application for the same.
