About Fusco’s School

The Fusco's School was established in 1878 by St.

The Fusco's School was established in 1878 by St. Alfonso Maria Fusco, embodies his vision of liberating the marginalized and respecting individual dignity. Born in 1839 in Angri, Italy, Alfonso's priesthood was prophesied by a Redemptorist Father and fulfilled in 1863. He founded the Congregation of the Sisters of St. John the Baptist, dedicating himself to evangelization and the sacraments.

The institution trusts in the providence of God and holds a preferential option to liberate those dehumanized and on the periphery of society. It respects individual dignity without distinction of caste, creed, religion, or social status. Believing that children are the hope of the future and specially loved by Christ, as envisaged by their Founder in Mathew 19:14, the institution motivates students to build a better world through the promotion of justice, peace, equality, solidarity, and communion. By revealing and realizing the kingdom of God, they are committed to building a “Civilization of Love.”

I’m very disappointed by the way the school has treated the students by awarding the cash price of Rs 1000 only for scoring 100 on 100 in subjects. This not only demotivates the students but also insults their caliber. It’s a request for the management to not distribute any cash price if it’s this low. Just invite and reward(with trophies or goodies) them that would be great. Thank you.

I have spent 12 years of mine in Fusco’s School but this wasn’t really a school because the principals, teachers and support staff made me feel as if I was at home. Now parting from it feels like parting from my family…Yes ‘family’ or more appropriately my FUSCO’S family as the love, care, support and guidance that they gave made the school as my second home. I whole heartedly thank our principal , Sr.Ronicka Chandra ,who always supported and guided us . Inspite of her busy schedule, she used to come to our class and interact with us. She is the one who chose such wonderful teachers for us. Since the time I entered the school I could receive the unconditional love of the teachers. They not only taught us academic lessons but also lessons of life. They taught discipline, good manners and values that are more important in today’s society than the bookish knowledge. No matter how the student was, they always treated her or him as their own child. The school management is simply superb. The support staff has assisted us all these years and has ensured that we stay comfortable. I could see the tears in the eyes of not only the teachers but also the aunties . Such precious ,tender, pure and unconditional love can only be found only in Fusco’s school. Missing my FUSCO’S family ❤️❤️❤️❤️

I know Fusco's School since 2011 and I have only good things to say about my experience. 1. Teachers are amazing, very passionate and dedicated. I know some teachers who teach lessons of life which are beyond the limited knowledge of textbooks. They work hard to give all-round development to the students. TEACHERS ARE THE ASSET OF FUSCO'S SCHOOL. 2. Principal Sister is open-minded and always welcomes us with a smiling face. She teaches valuable lessons and leadership skills. Though she is very busy, she always finds time to look into every matter of the students, no matter juniors or seniors. 3. Very safe place with a good environment. Large open space with greenery. 4 . Staff is very nice and helpful. A good school with a good team. THANK YOU ALL.......... GOD BLESS ALL OF US.

Best school in and around Indiranagar. 1. Discipline 2. Respect 3. Love 4. Campus 5. Teachers with amazing experience And the list goes on. Totally not money minded. The core values taught here would make you go back to school days. Multiple extra curricular activities for the children. Principal Sis Ronica, is soo down to earth you'll like her in the first meeting.

Not a 'too good' school, the fee is higher than their standards. The entire building and surroundings and facilities are pretty good. They have extra curricular activities but collect high fees for each and every little things, like SO MANY THINGS. We have a library but children can only read the books given by the librarian....well that is not a problem because they must learn to read any book/novel and not only silly stories. Honestly some teachers don't care about the student burden, they think that they are the only subject that exists and only homework to do and no other work is given from others or students have no other job to do other than study at home, but still they're doing an excellent job in everything else. They've got a few really good teachers. The staff is unnecessarily strict sometimes but no big problem I guess. So many unnecessary rules. The school forbids students to use any kind of social media/internet account, INCLUDING EMAIL? WHAT? what is their problem? We had a rule that we could wear any watches unless they are digital? They randomly decide to ban all watches? They collect school bus fee for 12 months? Yes. So yes that is all I have to say, 3 stars is more than enough. I don't think I'm wrong if I say the new principal messed up this school.

After all the search I had choose this School for my daughter for I std on 2019. Only First Standard she had a chance to attend the physical classes. For 2nd Std its On-line Class through WhatsApp, Where the teachers record the session and share in the group, students have to go through the recording lessons. this year they have not prepared for the on-line classes. For third standard its on-line classes in MS-Teams. This year they have well prepared for on-line classes. Pros: 1) This school has a good space and good ground. 2) There are few good teachers. 3) School declares leave for all religious function :) Cons: 1) Fees is very Very high. 2) There is no way to track the children's activity, Home work or other activities. 3) Website login only works to download the mark sheet. 4) For the whole school, there is a single security, there is difficulty in monitoring the children's movement. 5) As usual like other schools, in this school as well teachers focus more on specific children's who score good marks. 6) Language communication is OK OK , not that great. Final Word : Its an average school with good infrastructure and high Fees Structure.

My two kids are studying in Fusco's school. Like other parents we also reviewed many schools and we selected Fusco's. Now we are very happy and satisfied with our decision. From the beginning we got good education ,Discipline, encouragement from the school. Even in the pandemic situation, they considered everyone financial situation and also given a great support. All through the year, academic planning and execution is much appreciated. I want to thank our dear principal sister for the great support, love and encouragement towards all the children. She made the children more comfort in online learning and her guidance is awesome. I want to thank all the teachers, who did the great job with their full effort to make all the children to understand the subjects in the simple and easy way through online method. Thank you all and God bless you all.

St. Alfonso Maria Fusco (March 23, 1839- February 6, 1910 ) was a Roman Catholic priest and Founder of the Congregation of the Sister of St. John the Baptist, commonly known as Baptistine Sisters. Don Alfonso Maria Fusco was born to Aniello Fusco, a farmer and his wife Giuseppina Schianove, at Angri, Saleno, Italy, March 23, 1839. Alfonso’s birth was attributed to the intercession of St.Alphonsus de Ligouri, whose tomb was visited by the couple, since they did not have a baby even after four years of their marriage. A redemptorist Father assured them that they would have a son, whom they would call Alfonso. Two month after the infant’s birth, Alphonsus de Ligouri was canonized. While they were there, the Redemptorist Francesco saverio pecorelli told them: “you will have a son; you will name him Alfonso; he will become a priest and will live the life of Blessed Alphonso”. He told his parents when he was eleven that he wanted to become a priest, and on November 5, 1850,’ freely and with the sole desire to serve to God and the Church”, as he himself declared many years later, he entered the Episcopal Seminary of Noceradei Pagani. On May 29, 1863, he was ordained by the Archbishop of Salerno, Monsignor Anthony Salomone, amidst the joy of his family and the enthusiasm of the people. Quickly he distinguished himself among the clergy of the Collegiata of St. John the Baptist in Angri of his zeal, his regular attendance at liturgical services and for his diligence in the administration of the sacraments, especially the Sacrament of Reconciliation where he revealed his paternal understanding of his penitents. He devoted himself to the evangelization of the people through his sample and incisive style of preaching. During the night of February 5, 1910, he felt unwell. He requested and then received the sacraments in the morning of February 6; after having blessed with trembling hands his own daughters weeping around his bed, he exclaimed: “Lord, I thank you, I have been a useless servant.” Then, turning to the sisters: “from heaven I will not forget you. I will pray for you always.” And he slept peacefully in the Lord. News of his death spread quickly and for that entire Sunday, there was a procession of people crying and saying: “The father of the poor is dead; the saint is dead!”. His witness has been an inspiration of life and a means of grace, especially for his Sisters spread today throughout four continents. On February 12, 1976, Pope Paul VI recognized his heroic virtues; on October 16, 2016, Pope Francis raised him as Saint, and offered him as an example to priests, and a model for every one as an educator and protector especially to the poor and the needy.

Good school. My suggestions are- 1) It's located on the busy main road (Old Madras Road) that too immediates next to the signal. During peak hours it's very difficult to drop & pick up kids. Please do something 2). Please change the colour of the building to either green or cream, grey or light blue-the combination of read & pink really doesn't look nice for a school(looks like a Police station/jail). Staff are good, teaching has to be modernised bringing in more multimedia & games. Thanks.
