Curriculum

New Horizon Public School is affiliated to the ICSE board. The school system combines the advantages of the Montessori learning style and experiential learning. It enables children to learn at their own pace, thus helping the child adjust to the idea of school. The curriculum has been divided into 3 categories –

• Pre-Primary division

The Pre-primary division of New Horizon Public School comprises the Nursery, LKG and UKG. The curriculum involves learning through observation, experiential learning through first-hand experience, thus developing sensory perceptions to trigger both the creative and intellectual faculties of the child. Subjects include languages like English,Hindi or Kannada. Concepts of basic literacy and basic numeracy along with EVS and mathematics are developed in interactive ways.  

• Primary Division

Classes I, II, III, IV and V come under the primary division. Here the children are involved in various activities which include discussions in pairs and group discussions. These are  conducted to help them develop their language skills and interpersonal skills effortlessly. Subjects include languages like English, Hindi and Kannada along with Mathematics, Computer Science, Social Studies, General Studies and EVS. The students are coached in arts like painting, music, dance, dramatics and sports which helps them to vibrate with positive energy.

• Secondary Division

It is divided into 2 parts: Class VI to VIII and Class IX and X. The methodology adopted at the secondary level of education stresses on an interactive approach through group activities and projects to help them in the development of an investigative mind.
