2. The Hyderabad Public School

Overview:

The Hyderabad Public School, originally founded as Jagirdar’s College by the Seventh Nizam of Hyderabad, H.E.H. Mir Osman Ali Khan, in 1923 in Begumpet, Hyderabad, predates the Indian Republic. It was only the sons of nobles and elites who were allowed to attend the school before the Zamindari system was dismantled in 1950. 6. St. Ann’s High School

Overview:

Mother Enrichetta Dominici and the Sisters of St. Ann of Divine Providence were invited to the Hyderabad Vicariate by Msgr. Dominic Barbero. Six sisters were picked on November 20th, 1870. Six sisters arrived in Secunderabad on March 3, 1871. The Sisters were given charge of an orphanage and a school for young women. Furthering the mission of Christ entrusted to each of them, the Sisters also grew their educational apostolate across the Diocese and entered new fields of the apostolate.
