of the Sisters of the Little Flower of Bethany (Bethany Sisters) was founded in
Mangalore on July 16, 1921 by the late Msgr. Raymond Francis Camillus Mascarenhas,
with four members viz. Srs Martha, Clare, Lourdes and Gertrude to participate in
the mission of the Church by responding to the prevailing needs of the times.
The Congregation was founded chiefly for the Catholic education of the rural poor,
specially girls, teaching of Catechism in parish communities and schools,
instruction of catechumens and neophytes, care of the children, the sick and the elderly.
The Sisters are involved in pastoral, educational, social and medical apostolates
according to the needs of the place.The Congregation started with 4 Sisters has
at present 1363 members serving in 176 Convents all over India and Europe

RULES AND REGULATIONS REGARDING ADMISSIONS
Candidates seeking admission should be introduced by the parent or the guardian who will be responsible for his / her conduct.
Students seeking admission must forward to the Headmistress an admission form duly filled in, and signed by the parent or the guardian, with transfer certificate and progress report from the school last attended. Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe students shall produce a certificate to that effect.
Parents and guardians shall make sure of the name and date of birth of children before they are recorded in the school register. The name and date of birth once entered in the school register cannot be altered without the written permission of the Director of Public Instruction.
PROMOTION SCHEME
Promotion to a higher class depends upon:
Regularity in attendance.
Regularity and quality of day-to-day participation in the class.
Opinion of teachers.
Written work and projects assigned by the teachers.
A pupil must obtain 35% marks in every subject.
CONDUCT AND DISCIPLINE
Every student should carry with him/her the school diary.
Pupils must be in their respective classroom at least 15 minutes before the time fixed for the classes to commence.
All pupils are expected to be present for assembly during which they pray together.
The attendance roll is taken at the beginning of the two sessions.
No child is permitted to leave the School premises without the permission of the Headmistress which will be granted only at the specific written request of the parents.
MEETINGS THE TEACHERS
Parents may meet individual teachers before or after class with previous appointment only. They are requested not to disturb them during class hours.
