The good thing is that no donation is required for admission. Otherwise most of the so-called reputed schools in Kolkata require donations. School campus is not up to the mark. It is heard the campus is going to be shifted soon.

Horrible for parking 4 wheeler. So if you plan to bring in a 4 wheeler please plan accordingly with time in hand. The roads are very congested during school start and end time ( precisely around 9 am and around 11:15 to 11:45 am).

South Point School (Nursery to Class V), South Point High School (Classes VI to XII) and South Point Education Society (administrative authority). The school operates in two shifts for all classes – Morning and Afternoon. The school opened in 1954, and was the first co-educational school in Kolkata. Higher Secondary (10+2) education was introduced in 1960. Initially operation as a single unit, the school split into two buildings with the high school shifting to Ballygunge Place in 1980. It is claimed to be the only school in Kolkata to have a Nobel Laureate as an alumnus.

This is an age old school which we know from our very childhood. My son visited there recently for a interschool fest called Ullas.
The school has an option for both morning as well as afternoon timings

My daughter had studied in South Point Junior School and currently studying South Point High school. I think she is learning a lot, the teachers are very helpful and cooperative. I think the way the teachers teach the young ones are very good. As a mother I would definitely suggest other parents to enroll their kids in South Point School.
