Using a burner account to conceal my identity I was a student here and it was hands down the worst thing a child/teen/budding adult could go through! Loyal from the very beginning to A-Levels and a school I blame for ruining my future and destroying it to pieces! If you love your child then don’t send them to this school, please! This is a school which always favoured the top marked students, there was no focus on learning, understanding and implementing the material learnt! Almost no PE sessions and if they were then incredibly useless and highly discouraging (e.g pitting fat children against fit children to bully them, selective bias over sports teams and try outs and a lot more such as kneeling down the whole session if nails were not cut, running 3 labs if last in a race)… this is a school which promotes Favourism, Marks and Bullying! I have so many harrowing experiences from this school that I now suffer from childhood PTSD and go to a therapist every fortnight. From class 1st-10th I was constantly bullied by teachers and classmates! A student slapped me in my 8th grade, the teacher saw it and said to stop crying, someone would push me over/pull my chair right before sitting and the teachers would laugh! If I wouldn’t know an answer to a question then my physics teacher who was this incredibly terrible lady would just shout on top of her voice and call us rascals! Teachers would often give derogatory remarks and would pick on me and some others whenever they got the chance! we were only given 20 mins break to eat breakfast and the rest was all studying and studying! Students were never encouraged to learn themselves but rather acquire tuition services to pass since their in school teaching was pathetic! I wasted my entire decade and a half on these tuitions till 17! No one taught me to learn, and what working for a corporate really entails, bas marks ache lao and future set! Or what I would like to work as…bas commerce or science… If there were any international evenings, annual days or Independence Days then you were forced to dance just to show the parents that well your money’s getting its worth done! Moreover if you did even a single mistake then you would be pushed straight to the back! There was also 0 emphasis given on any of the Arts except those days! No music lesson, no gymnastics, no drama, no literature, no theatre…nothing nada zilch! They would have these morning meetings where they would have some students in act or do role play but it was always the teachers per or hand selected kids who always got the role! No one else ever got the chance to do it simply because of teachers wanting an increase in their paycheck to show that they are doing their jobs well Then comes A-Levels! Anyone who joined A-Levels was straight away deemed as inferior compared to IBDP, students were seen as stoners and none of the tutors were understanding to care about someone who may need help! If you understand…great and if you don’t then… hey we have extra tuition available to suck all the time available for you! From 6am to 2pm we would slog and slog learning difficult topics time and time again and those who got it were favoured and those who didn’t well just didn’t…their labs were not ventilated and if you broke a beaker/pipette then get ready for some major scolding and punishments galore! Their library was a joke! Everyday I tell my mom and dad that why you enrolled me to this school… I stay up at night thinking what if I was in a different school which actually taught me how to learn and understand things well!
