Considered among the top rung of Indian Public Schools, Yadavindra Public School, Patiala popularly known as YPS Patiala, is an English Medium Co-Educational Boarding-cum-Day school founded in 1948 by the late H H Maharaja Yadavindra Singh. Over the last six decades, YPS has grown to a student strength of 1600 and staff strength of 100. The school prepares students for the Indian Certificate of Secondary Education (Class X) and the Indian School Certificate (Class XII) Examinations conducted by the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations, New Delhi which is successor to the Local Examinations Syndicate of the Cambridge University (UK). YPS is a member of the Indian Public Schools' Conference and is affiliated to CISCE. The aim of the school is to impart an all-round education Curricular and co-curricular, so as to equip the students to become worthy citizens of India and as asset to the nation.
