The School has Announced Applications open for LKG to 12th grade, with interview stages. However, results will only be shared with specific individuals and their respective communities, aligning with their preferences. The unclear process raises questions – is this a community center or a school?
Moreover, after interviews, everyone is invited to an induction program, regardless of the result announcements. For a more transparent approach, consider holding the induction program only for those who have been selected after the results are disclosed. This change in policy would save time and avoid confusion. There is a person named Guruji, How should be Guruji himself seems unaware of this, resulting in wasted time for others, especially when parents attend for their child's admission, not for any lecture or lessons. The school's mission and vision are less relevant unless there is a meaningful change in approach.
My verdict is this school is worst and caters exclusively to a certain community, evident from the admission process. To save parents' time, it would be beneficial to clearly state that applications are restricted to specific communities, eliminating any confusion.

The school is known to have good teachers and has also contributed alot to the society at large in my opinion. However, a few niggles like misplaced priorities are actually dampening the good work. One priority, which the school is often found to be wanting, is the hygenie in the toilets, which can lead to health issues for the students studying at the school. Hope the school authorities look into this issue on a war footing, to make sure this important priority is taken off without any hiccups in this regard.
Well, in conclusion, if I have to give a rating on a scale of 1 to 10, it is '6.5'
All the best.

The staffs are great and knowledgeable, but giving punishment for bringing non veg for lunch is too rude , I was made to stand outside for that for the whole lunch period . The extra curricular activities and giving importance for sports is appreciated very much thanks to our pt staff . The things which they should avoid is seeing partiality among students and treat each and every student equally and hear out their problems . Why I am saying this is I got severely punished once for the thing which I have not done at that time . Other than these things the school is too good .

The only thing this school teaches you is to fear them. A prison in all ways. Teachers make it their own personal mission to make students they don't like's life miserable, In many cases pushing students to tears. Teachers cross the line into harassment in many cases by intruding into children's private life and even sexualising and shaming them. The worst possible place to send your child. I studied at Chettinad Vidyashram from kindergarten up to 12th grade. I had wonderful memories in that school, but I do have issues. The teachers are not good; they don't maintain friendliness. I was bullied by my 2nd grade teacher, which took a toll on me to this day i don't talk to people. I had numerous issues with bullying and verbal abuse throughout my school days by my teachers. For instance, I was verbally abused and even slapped in class by my teacher for not joining his tuition classes. When I complained, no one took it seriously. The fee structure is huge, plus they ask us to pay for Olympiads and plays that they organize, and make us buy tickets for those as well. Regarding marks, I got 435 out of 500 in my 10th grade board exam, but the principal didn't allow me to take the biology group. I had to settle for the biotechnology group, and to be honest, those who got 292 out of 500 was allowed to take the biology group in 11th grade, which was a slap in the face because he was willing to pay a lot for it.i mean if one can't get what he hoped for when he has worked hard for it what's the point of all of it

Badly Organised Senior Secondary!
From class 11, you'll have entered hell in the same school you thought of as heaven. The school prioritizes FITJEE students and abandons others. The best faculty are directed towards FITJEE classes and others thrown off to non- FITJEE classes.
I'm a non fitjee student and the physics teacher I have is so fast and unclear that I couldn't understand a thing she's saying. She is so egoistic and bad tempered, students don't even like her. For security reasons, I won't disclose her name but she really should improve her teaching skills.
If you're a non fitjee student, one word can describe your 11th and 12th experience: HELL

if a school does not offer any sports programs, it can be seen as a significant drawback for students who are interested in athletics. Lack of sports activities can negatively impact students' physical health, social skills, and overall well-being.
Participating in sports can help students develop teamwork, leadership skills, and discipline, as well as providing opportunities to build self-confidence and character. Additionally, sports programs can serve as a way to engage and motivate students who may struggle academically or have difficulty connecting with their peers.
Therefore, a school that does not offer any sports programs may be limiting its students' opportunities for growth and development, and may not be an ideal choice for families who prioritize a well-rounded education that includes athletics...

I used to go here as a kid, 2009-2014. Honestly, 2009-2014 were the best years of my life, and the best times in general. My time at this school was so nostalgic.
Sishya is a very well funded school; they've got a nice canteen (how's Rajesh doing btw?), a sizeable amount of classrooms and good grounds, and many events.
School camp 2013 is one of those things I'll never forget; watching Despicable Me 2 and Chennai Express on a big screen when they first came out.
They used to have a book fair, a fete, an annual dance that the kids used to prepare for (we used to love skipping classes for that) and some nice theatre productions. Eh, maybe I'm just taking away the kiddy stuff from there because I was a kid when I used to go there.
Anyway, so the teachers were strict (watch out!). If you misbehave, they send you out of class. Sometimes they yell at you. And I don't know if that was the norm in India. I'm pretty sure it was; may still be.
A lot of the people that used to go and still go to this school are filthy rich (we had occasional visits from Thalapathi and other famous people like Prakash Raj and all that). People used to queue up for autographs and stuff.
Anyway, enough of my rant. Sishya was my childhood.

Well-defined academic calendar and planned events. Every event was relevant and was highly inspiring and elevating. Everything was planned and nothing ad hoc. Staff and students left school by 3pm. No unnecessary staying back. Only open house on just two Saturdays in the whole year. Neat 5 days working. A small canteen. Good playground. Reasonable fees. Contrary to the popular assumption, the school caters to middle class as well. There is both diversity and inclusion in the classrooms. Parents are well-informed and no scope for panic. I had unfavorable feedback at the cost of one year fee & worsening the study base of my children.
Most Teachers are freshers. Soon, you will find absent & then the new one. The teacher seems low salaried members, appears there for training. I have observed frequently they resign job for married life or soon lands a better school.
Two distinctive AVATR to assess in this school is Mr. Madan - Chief Warden, Mr. Surya Murthy - Accounts Manager and their insubordination with the Principal. Typical politics entertained by poor management. By the way, you never get a chance to meet anybody from Management.
School APP for monitoring performance is not updated. No proper circular to inform the parents except school fee collection.
The school has open land for sake of playground. No sports gadget are equipped.
The school has a power transmission corridor, wire passing through in the children pay area. This is the disaster, how come the school authority of TN left children's life to a high potential hazard.
Other shabby findings
AC Room is offered at an additional payment. Most staff member will sleep with their mobile phone ON, Night shows played in children rooms. AC is rational to use only!
Poor laundry service. Unclean Bathroom, limited hot water, and unhygienic condition are added complement.
When it comes to food, poor quality. It was tearful for my mistake in joining here.
Good menus are served during lunch time to facilitate day time staff has a good food.
Low profile food items are pushed in the evening. Evening snacks are junk are nothing but pure junk.
Sad to see, the Good portion of food, selected chicken pieces will be collected first by the Chief Warden - Shame on him ! & staff Group as per hierarchy. Now, the left out will be served to the poor children on a first come - first serve basis.
The normal parent will have heart burns!
Service of dropping to airport and railway station is denied.
Frequent penalty for broken glass in hostel, cupboard maintenance are part of gift.
Item get stolen by (staff) co student are common practice.
TV time has no discipline. Remote will be in the hand of children.
No teacher or guidance provided in the school study hours.
Uniforms were issued in the middle of the academic.

TRUE & HONEST REVIEW.
My son is studying there past 5 years.
MONEY:
They concentrate more on collecting Donation.Money based Admission..if u pay High Donation(MORE THEN 1.5LAK)u can get admission at any time..
INFRASTRUCTURE:
Big school and Big Ground..very clean from the outside.inside class room very Dirty.full of Pencil screwed..it's makes the kids dress very dirty .not sure whether they clean the class room..very bad smell.poor cleanliness toilets are very poor..
CLASS STRENGTH
Too much of strength.more than 52 to 55 students in a single class room.so teachers are not able to Handle them.so suffocated.they are not able to concentrate whether they finished classwork or not.. parents need to check the classwork and get it finished everyday..
TEACHING.
Teachers complets the portions..no revisions will be given.. parents need to train the kids at home.
Handwriting is not concentrated after 1st STD..not sure whether they speak in English at class. DISCIPLINE IS VERY POOR.if we ask teachers, they simply says"you are not able to handle 1 child, how can we concentrate 50+ child".
ONE POSITIVE.
They bring reputed organisation for conducting events, extra curriculars.but for everything we should pay..but no any special extra curriculars taught..
OVERALL SCHOOL LACKS in QUALITY BECAUSE OF HIGH STRENGTH.People think that many students are studying there .it's a big school..but the reality is too much strength is the biggest drawback..No discipline, individual concentration is difficult... Teachers are feeling difficult to focus on their classwork completion, homework note checking, Handwriting,Exam revision,....etc...kids are dumped in classrooms. They fights each others... teachers doesn't even know about this.Looks like government school inside the class.
Parents should teach and supervise everything by paying High Donation to them.

Not Satisfied for the hype and the volume given for the school. Surely not the good one to start education with, very poor foundation for the child. May be higher classes are okay (that too not from personal experience, I heard people say so). Regretting this choice for my kid.
Problems
ZERO DISCIPLINE on the whole.
1. Except for one or 2 random good teachers All are new or low in confidence/competence which doesn't give good and rock foundation in the lower classes for kids.
2. There is a slightly disturbed kid in our class from whom unnecessary habits are learnt
3. Unclean restrooms
4. Bad student teacher ratio. Teacher is unable to concentrate on the children because of the volume. No one bothers about classwork or the homework, mainly not even checking if they are finishing the lunch box. Atleast they should make sure the child eats. They are children if none monitors they just come home hungry & irritated - parents have to deal from the beginning starting from food, classwork and their new bad behaviour that they learn and come .
5. Dirty surroundings. Whole West extension is clean except for the school area.
6. Every day when I go pick my daughter up from the school I hear from lot of older children - total bad words. I agree it's Chennai and with boys it's common but if this is going to be the case why should many like us shift from different locations and secure admission here in this school. Any school will have all this and we could stay in the place we are to have and hear all these . Atleast inside school campus Children should behave well.

Very poor couching
Very poor management
40+ students in each section, teachers will guide only top performing few students
5 online classes per day...but none of the classes covers the teaching for whole duration, they will waste it in attendance or in playing dumb quizzes.
The classworks were never corrected, no feedback given to students on their academic marks
Parents feedback were never given importance

Thank you for all the efforts you put in teaching and nurturing the children during the online classes. Even though it is difficult to keep them focused, I could notice your kind attention for each and every child.
They teaches very well and make my son understand the subject with fun learning.
I thank you once again for your great effort.

Transportation and administration is the worst part of this branch. Which ever clarification we need the school authorities will say, they need to get clarification from main branch. School diary and House Uniform will be distributed after completion of half an academic year in october or November every year. For Transportation, they say our buses are big and can't come interior areas to pick up kids, where those areas are easily accessed by other school buses. Though spoken english is not good in his branch , teachers are taking effort to make kids understand he concepts. Only teachers effort could be appreciated here.

The worst school in this area. From the entrance of security guard there is no manner to treat people. The next management team annoying parents on their way they are speaking. The principles following her own way of rules.
1. They are pre defined rules for government.
2.Not followed any rules and regulations
3.The school front area not maintained highenicqlly.
4.The same for any govt exams like TNPSC centers they are alloted means their behavior is worst

Viji front office very rude behavior actually a front office is the mirror for many organizations what ever the sector education or any.. her attitude and body language to the parents is really annoying specifically where we cannot get appointment to meet the principal of this institution, suppose to be all schools where principals are friendly natured here it us like meeting a CM.. even we can meet him if we plead.. but here that too NO. It is here all front office control. Very disappointing

Studied from 2006 - 2016. In the early days, the school was small in both size and strength but being in school was great, the staffs, small playground, old office building and especially the fish tank in the entrance of the building where most of them will come and spend their time after the school is over. I even studied in a small building that was separate from the school building. Had a great time with the school till 9 std then the 10, 11 and 12 had a great time only because of my friends.
When I was studying in 2016(12th) the old staff who taught me were almost gone from this school. This school doesn't pressure students to yield good academic results (don't know about now). In money wise school doesn't spend anything for students for eg: the school had once taken us to an exhibition, in the end, the school asked us to pay for the transportation. In terms of what we pay as huge fees compared to other schools in the area, I think they can do better in these things. I even heard the pay for the teachers is also not so good.
