The pedagogy at Alpha International School is designed to support a developmental, student-centric approach, where teaching is coupled with a stimulating and varied curriculum. The school endeavors to ensure deliverables in accordance to the students’ needs as the school progresses to higher levels. Our goal is to instill an enthusiasm for lifelong learning and a sense of global awareness in each student, along with the necessary skills to prepare them for the challenges and changes, which lie ahead.
At Alpha International School, every student is believed to be a unique individual with the potential to make a positive contribution to the school and society. The school aims to provide direction, advice and support, which students require to reach their full potential and nurture in every student a strong sense of self-esteem and personal integrity, with a respectful, caring attitude towards others.
The school follows the CBSE syllabus with international best practices in teaching and learning. This opens avenues for students to stretch their learning beyond their textbook.
Located on the Velachery-Tambaram main road, Sembakkam, the school is spread over one acre with a built-up area of 22400 sq. ft. Well-lit corridors display the art work of students in wall panels and bring life and color to the school. The campus has well facilitated, well ventilated classrooms. It also has well equipped laboratories, a library, studios for art, dance, music and theatre which not only serve the needs of all the students but also motivates skill building. The multipurpose court along with the main playground facilitates games and physical activities of the students thus making the learning holistic.

Alpha International School Admission Procedure
- A student must have completed 2.5 years of age for Nursery, 5.5 years of age for Admission to Grade I by 31st May and satisfy the relevant age criteria for admission to successive higher classes.
- Application form can be collected from the admissions officer at the school office or can be downloaded from the school website. However, the submission of the same has to be done personally along with the required documents specified in the application form.
- The application form has to be submitted within a week’s time else a new application form has to be bought again. A week after submitting the application form, the date of interview/entrance test will be scheduled and informed to the parents over the phone.
- Students seeking admission for classes from Grade II upwards are required to appear for a written test and the interview after the test.
- In case students are living abroad or outside Chennai and are unable to attend the interview/ entrance test on the date scheduled, parents may request for time and ensure that they attend on the rescheduled date without fail.
- Students coming from schools following CBSE / ICSE / State Board or any other international curriculum may be admitted on the strength of their transfer certificate countersigned by the authorities of the educational board concerned. A satisfactory report of the performance in the previous school, along with their performance in the entrance test is essential for admission.
- Parents will be informed about the selection / confirmation of seat on the day of the interview or within five working days and will be given a week’s time to pay the fee and confirm admission. If the admission is not confirmed by the parent within the stipulated time, the seat will be forfeited.
- The student has to complete all three admission formalities - 1. submission of all documents 2. Selection in the interview and 3. Payment of fees before the admission is confirmed.
- Admission is subject to availability of seats in the particular class, and is at the school’s discretion.
