I am a parent of two children. My children joined RV in 2018, younger one in 2nd grade and the elder one in 6th grade. I did all my analysis before coming from pudukkottai to chennai, regarding the schools in sholinganallur, I chose few schools among one is RV due to its closest proximity to my husband's office too. In and Around Sholinganallur RV is the oldest CBSE school with recognition, even now.
The main reason I chose this school is, the reason behind the start of this school is Tsunami. Please check other information in their website. Secondly, the Correspondent Mrs. Lalitha Chandrasekaran. before starting this school she was working in DAV Gopalapuram as a prinicipal. Hence I liked the culture of Ramana School and its teachers. Thirdly, She is down to earth. You can't meet the correspondent of schools in Chennai, even you request, but when I visited the school premises for my sons entrance exam, we have been taken to the correspondent room immediately and there were two ladies sitting in correspondents place, this is a rare seen where most of us dont like to sit equal with our staffs when we are the key person. As I have already seen her photo in the website, I was aware who is the correspondent. The other woman was prinicipal. I admired the way she (correspondent) corrected my sons mistakes in his entrance paper.
Finally I selected RV as they were the one who was not fond of getting admissions and ready to accept and portray my son how he is. (This was not the case with the other schools where both my children got selected and was holding confirmed seats of two schools, where they praised, appreciated, celebrated by son and daughter for performing best in entrance. But to praise them high, they didnt do much, other than just completing the entrance well. Moreover the question paper was too silly which helped them to score more. So there is no point is appreciating that much. More over we were not allowed to meet the correspondent too, and their main aim was to get two of my children gets admitted in their school.)
I suggest RV to parents who search for a culturally decent and ethichally effective CBSE school in sholinganallur.

Righr from the principal and correspondent to the bottom rung staff everyone works in sync. They know what is expected, and do with self discipline, dedication and enthusiasm. I was pretty impressed with school children giving a tour of rhe school for parents of prospective students. For a person like me who was looking for something different this came as a breeze. Glad to have found Ramana amd I hope my kids will enjoy their stint there.

Choosing the right school is one of the toughest task any parent will face. " RAMANA VIDYALAYA" ticked all the right boxes when it came to curriculum, campus and teaching approach. My daughter is in LKG, as a parent am pleased to say that my child is quite excited to go to school every day. She always look forward to mondays. Their activity based curriculum keep her engaged throughout the day, which she enjoys and await for the surprise factor she is going to experience daily. Within a few months she developed physical co-ordination, healthy habits and comfortable and happy with her friends. She is willing to share and take turns with others. She is now capable to communicate in english and able to understand the language without any unpleasant emotions. I saw a huge leap in very short time. The students are humble and not taking things for granted. The school has nurtured good values and really focussed on making children successful academically and morally. Professionalism by staff and management are to the core. Staffs are very friendly. A big salute to the whole RAMANA team. I believe my child will come out as a good human, knowing all the values and morals. I strongly recommend this school for your kids.

My kids have been studying in this school for more than 2 years. I am immensely happy with the management and staff of the school. All the children are well encouraged and nurtured according to their talents. Starting from the correspondent to the office staff, all the members are very approachable and accommodating. They conduct open houses every year to get inputs from parents and to communicate their expectations to us. They are also very open to new ideas and practices from NLP, family counselling to twin hearts meditation. Kudos to the great work by the whole team!

My son Visagan studied in primrose since kinder-garden and we are surprised that 15 years has passed so quickly and effectively.
We have seen primrose develop from a small rented-house in Palavakkam into a massive international school with endless opportunities.
They provided Visagan and all his peers with a superb environment coupled with a curriculum that is not only challenging but also grooms them to be achievers for life.
We as parents found Primrose helping each and every student to bloom by giving all of them opportunities to develop in various fields such as sports, cultural events and Inter School competitions.

The school management is so keen and particular about safe and clean environment, not only infrastructure wise but also feel wise. It's so appreciable.
Both student -teacher relationship and Parent - teacher relationship are friendly and healthy
The students have more freedom to choose subjects flexibly in higher classes (XI and XII)
The only suggestion is kindly avoid changing teachers often. It affects student's studying interest.

My children are in this institution. While one has completed fully and now in college. Management put their best effort to get the students to be competent in actual real outside world. My elder son is studying in Primrose schools for the last 8 years. Primrose Schools always focus on holistic development of the children and give significant importance to extra curricular activities.
One recent example is the Annual Day program conducted in the Music Academy on 6th and 7th Aug, 2022. The event was awesome. The music , costumes, dance moves coordination , and event organizing were all exceptional. The dance varieties were a feast to the eyes. The hard work put in by the students and teachers was clearly evident from the performances.
Kudos to the Principal and School Management for conducting this event in a grand fashion.

Students are given real freedom of learning. They are given the required opportunities to express their talents. School principal, office staff, and teachers are responsible and humble—a Multi-skill teaching school.
And more importantly, students always feel positive about going to school, even during tough times.
Suggestion: request to improve the English spoken skills of all the staff
There are minor negatives, but they are not at all worth highlighting here as good things are far more here.

Worst experience with the admission team. They never respond our phone calls. If we visit directly, they ask for appointment and made us wait outside the gate for an hour. After all the enquiries done when you again call school to start the admission process, they never respond back. Just frustrated with their approach

My son absolutely loves going to school. Their teaching methodology is not traditional. They learn through variety of activities and exploration. I can notice a good improvement in his communication and he became more independent. I found the teachers very friendly and approachable. I definitely suggest this school for those who looks for overall development rather than just academics.

As a parent and spouse of a teacher at Campus K, I find the school to be highly commendable in almost all aspects of school activities and teaching. However, I cannot say the same about the campus K bus drivers. Is the space in front of the school owned by the bus drivers even after school time is over? I went to pick up my wife today after school hours(around 04:45 pm). Since it was drizzling, I parked the car a bit close to the entrance, as there was only one school bus parked there at that time. A little later, another campus K school bus came there. Even after I moved my car to make sufficient room for the bus driver to park the bus comfortably in front the entrance, the driver kept honking and forced me to move my car away from the school. There is no respect for patrons of the school from these bus drivers. Hope the management takes a serious note of this.
Update: Nothing seems to have improved with respect to the bus drivers. They are obnoxious as ever, irritating other drivers with their honking unnecessarily, no matter how much you try to avoid them.

This school is business minded only.. Don't put your ward in this school. After completing 5 year requested the transfer in Bangalore branch they not did it after lots of follow up and asking 40% fee to deposit then they will initiate the transfer.

This school has really bad management. The principal is not good at their job, and the heads of departments are no better. But, there are some good teachers who try their best to teach well, even with all the problems.

Nithya and I are writing to you to thank you and the BVS teachers and staff. Over the years, Tara and Leah have been groomed so well by BVS. Due to your diligent efforts, they both have smoothly integrated into their new schools in Preston, UK. Their new teachers have remarked how well they have adjusted to the entirely new environment.
Both Tara and Leah miss the special BVS atmosphere of learning and understanding. Please thank their HRT teachers and subject teachers for preparing them to face any situation. Their ability to speak fluently and adjust with a variety of students from different cultures is wonderful to see. Both of them especially miss the care and very clean environment of BVS. My kids have been studying here for quite sometime now. This is a very good school where they ensure all round development of the child. The management is very experienced; they have their heart in the right place. Just got my daughter admitted to Class XI. The admission process has been simple and helpful. The admission committee had some very thoughtful and relevant advice for the field the child would do well in. You can really feel the care.

This school was on my priority list for my son’s admission, but during the time of admission, they have told us that we need to shift within 3 km radius, which we couldn’t do because we have a own house in 9 km. We explained and asked for other options , but they were very stubborn. They openly told us they ll give preference to the kids who lives in walkable distance, if this is the case they should have rejected our application on the first place stating this reason. But no , they called us for us the interview in person , they made my 5 yr old kid to take test for an hour and told us that the location is the only issue and that we have to shift. We have clearly mentioned our residing address in the application, then why did you call us in person ? Only the infrastructure on the outside is good. Also People in the admin department are so rude. Like literally one of their staff told us before the interview itself that we will be disqualified, she went in the committee room and said something to them even before we walk in for the discussion, which is so cheap and absurd. We are parents , we are trusting you with our children’s education , we are professionals who has good place in the society , if you treat us like we are nothing just because you own the school , then we have to seriously question your Values here. And guess what they told us their school bus don’t reach our location limit , but we saw their bus entering our own apartment yesterday. No transparency or whatsoever. Finally am glad I didn’t consider moving.

Some incidents during this academic year admissions - Worst part is they insist on caste certificate before the written test for admission and interview. If they keep the caste certificate only for their record purpose, then why should they get it before selection? They should insist to get it only from the selected students. Why they insist on all the applicants before admission? Are they doing selection based on caste ?? Also heard the chairman and some of the admin staffs are so arrogant and egoistic. Why they force everybody to stay within 3.5km of the school? Otherwise no admission? Apart from the outlook of the school building, I don't see any importance to this school. They think their school is the best in India and talks bad about other schools. What they think about themselves? there are many good schools in Chennai. One star is too high for their attitude.
