School of India – Building a culture of happiness

Amidst the noise of international education and global standards, there’s a school called the School of India. It is an institution that celebrates our country, its culture, and its roots while providing a platform to get in touch with the worldwide trends. Sounds perfect, doesn’t it?

About the School of India

It is important to preserve our culture and traditions, no matter how global our education gets and where we end up in our lives. It is crucial to understand where we come from and what our values are. Oftentimes, this gets lost in the haste to be international. School of India believes otherwise. It provides a platform where the nation comes first and every child is proud of being an Indian. It has five pillars of education: Campus, Community, Civic, Curriculum, and Culture.

Through our blog post we are attempting to give you insights about the school so that you determine whether it is the right one for your little one.

Location

School of India is located along Anekal Road in Bannerghatta. The eco-friendly campus is at a safe distance away from the city’s pollution and noise.

Curriculum

The institution follows the CBSE curriculum with an integrated teaching approach. In other words, it includes extra-curricular activities in the daily learning methodologies to help children with overall growth and development.

It balances teacher-driven and student-driven activities with programs that nurture latent talents in a variety of fields. It also nurtures these talents so that children grow up to follow their interests.

Academics

Education at the School of India is such that children fall in love with learning. They are happy to come to school and explore new things. The culture of happiness is simply contagious. The curriculum and teaching methodologies, both, evolve with age and grade. Let’s skim through the approach:

Kindergarten

Children learn to discover and boost their creativity, reasoning skills, memory, and concentration levels through a completely child-centric learning approach. They have theme-based assessments and observation sessions at a regular basis. The School of India firmly believes in positive reinforcement and follows a no-detention policy.

Primary and secondary

Learning evolves to empowerment here. Children have the freedom to share their thoughts, collaborate, and learn as a team. Hands-on activities, experiments, and group discussions are a few of the ways of learning here. Teachers work closely with students, mentoring them and facilitating the learning process. Learning sessions are interactive with a focus on micro-learning, peer work, and group work.

The school also has an online book source called Indipedia that enlightens students about the achievements of our great country and its rich heritage.

Note: Remember to attach the required documents and passport-sized photographs to the application form.

Infrastructure and facilities

The School of India is dubbed as a smart school because it has done a wonderful job of integrating technology into the learning process. The 10-acre campus has multiple amenities and is a safe haven for its students.

The facilities include laboratories, labs, an outdoor amphitheater, a KG activity center, a swimming pool, a massive playground, health and safety initiatives, transportation, a canteen, and CCTV cameras across the campus.

Every amenity provided by the School of India has a common purpose – to inculcate Indian values while children explore global advancements. This brilliant balance of “value inculcation through moral education” is a refreshing approach to learning and we are totally on-board with it.
