I was in one of the Ashoka Hall Group Schools for eight years. So, when I came to BDMI in 9th grade, it was a huge downfall. It is a definite third class school, tries to act its best to fit in with its international label but fails miserably. Just a very basic CBSE school with very mediocre teachers and no good extracurriculars that are taught by any qualified teachers in their field, be it dance, music, art or sports or any subject for that matter. Most students talk in vernaculars and use really coarse and abusive language, unsophisticated or aren't well-groomed at all. And if you've read any review about teachers leaking papers and running private tuitions, it is true. I used to work hard and study all the proofs in mathematics whereas some of my classmates studied a couple of them and used to confidently claim that they are told it is enough. Trust me, the positive reviews are either by the teachers themselves or by emotional students who are nostalgic and attached to their school. Do not trust their judgement. It is objectively a pathetic school and there is no if and but to that statement. Of course, it is air conditioned and has a massive playground, good furniture and labs but that's not what solely defines a school. You don't send your child to school for an A/C of all things, what's the point of anything with those unqualified teachers who have no understanding of what pedagogy is and have no grip of their own subject. It will leave your child ungroomed and a lot behind in any race, with no basic skills, inarticulate and ignorant, unsmart and with no individuality. It has a terrible teacher to student ratio, firstly. BDMI takes up literally every student that applies, so they have a pool of unintelligent students and good peers and company is really significant in the development of your child.

This is one of the worst school in Kolkata. Its only an english medium by name. All the teachers speaks in bengali & hindi. I studies in this school & a 2006 passout. This school was my biggest nightmare. It made me under-confident to a terrible extent. I had gone therapy for the teachers making comments about my looks & character. The teachers are partial & use to leak exam papers , so that the students can go & take admission in their classes. If you want your kids to be under-confident, broken, mentally disturbed, then this is your school. I'm happy that nowadays because of the internet these schools are getting exposed, back then we didn't have any kind of facility.

Would add negatives if I could, but can't. Any school which leaks/shares it's students' info or is unaware of them being shared or ever leaked, for over 2 years is really something.

I think the worst mangaed school. My ward of class 6-1 had a wrist fracture on 24 january 2024 during the games period under carelessness of the games teacher. It was not an accident as there are eye witnesses of the incident. Students of section 8 surrounded my son and purposely hit him so hard that he lost balance and fell. How cruel can the students ve just to win a match.

This is the worst school ever. My mistake was to put my child in this school for two years which were totally wasted .teachers are always complaining about the kids. All the time school is doing dance craft etc but when it comes to studies the complete load is on the parents. Just for the name sake this is English medium school whereas teachers are always teaching and speaking in Bengali and Hindi. Then complaining kids can't speak English. The teachers are so partial they only concentrate on 3-4 kids highlight them in everything and never help the other kids. Such a pathetic institution in the name of school they are playing with your kids' future. It is a humble request to all to never come to this institution for your child or else regret forever.

I got familiar with this eminent school to appear in an exam of EMRS...all staffs security to teaching are too good. I never hoped such amazing set up of all. Its a perfect place for competitive exam. Thanks EMRS for choosing BDMI as an exam centre.

This is the worst school😡😡The whole management of this school is corrupted even the higher authorities of this school. The teachers circulate question papers one day before exam to the students who take private tuitions from them😡. Teachers are very partial and they themselves don't have proper grip over the subjects they are teaching😡 THOSE WHO ARE GIVING POSITIVE REVIEW HERE.. THEY ARE THEMSELVES THE TEACHERS, AND THE OTHER STAFFS OF THIS SCHOOL😡😡. I CAN RECOGNISE some of these teachers over here giving review, personally because my daughter is an ex student of this school. DON'T GET YOR CHILD'S ADMISSION IN THIS SCHOOL .. THEY GET YOU TO HELL 😔😢

After getting seeing all the feedbacks and reviews i took admission in this school . Then the main twist came across. A school without any co curriculum activities , a school without sports , a school without any picnic or excursion , a school without any programmes and fests , a school which is always injected in the studies of the students, doesn't thinks about the students ! This is my worst phrase ..not only me there are thousands of students who are suffering! It's request from all the students to my respected teachers to change this system and please think about us tooo ! Thank you !

This school is the best school for all the children, in terms of sports and education. In short, it’s the school where my daughter carries a smile on her face on the day when carnival got arranged and that shows it’s a right choice for her to be in BDMI.

Tbh haven't seen anything worse than this. I tried to continue going here till the end because i started my first school life here but the absolutely manipulative corrupted teachers and students made it too difficult for me. I wasn't going to their tuitions so they didn't like me one bit. I had better marks than their ill-mannerd students though LOL. And even tho I tried to brush past this I just couldn't deal with the hateful treatment for absolute no reason- 🗿imagine actually liking this school, Can't relate.

Unprofessional staffs, poor management, politics, favouritism among the students, Teachers give more marks to whom they give private tuition. And So So over crowded that the students trap in the rat race.
