Deccan International School was founded in the year 2003 by Mr. K. N. Tilak Kumar, Joint Managing Director, Deccan Herald-Prajavani. As Chairman of our school’s management committee, Mr. Tilak Kumar brings with him the rich experience of having managed the Ashram School started by his grandfather, late Sri. K. N. Guruswamy, Philanthropist, Educationist and Founder of the Deccan Herald and Prajavani Group. Our Director, Mrs. Sujatha Tilak Kumar has worked to make the school special in every way and believes that a good education is the only real inheritance that we leave for our children. In the decade since its inception, the school has gone from strength to strength in areas both academic and co-curricular and we constantly look for new ways to enhance the learning experience.
