From a humble beginning in the President’s Estate in 1941 as Church High School to Naveen Bharat School in 1947 and finally in 1949 at its present location on Mathura road, DPS has traversed a long journey. It has been a witness to the Nation’s birth in 1947 and has contributed to the development of the Nation in its own small way.
DPS Mathura Road was the only DPS till 1972. Motivated by a simple dream to educate, we started adding branches so as to take quality education to maximum number of children. R.K. Puram was our first branch. As on Ist September 2002, we were 95 in number.
The involvement of the Society in universal educational enhancement and its endeavour to build a democratic, pluralistic and secular nation has made all the difference. What has remained constant throughout these years is our zest and spirit to achieve and excel.
Fee range is from Rs. 50000 to Rs. 125000

Very good school, good and experienced teachers. School has limited students per class for excellent student teacher interactions. School building is well planned with ample natural air and light. Has a good playground inside the campus. School also has security cameras, GPS monitoring for school busses.

The education is okay and co curriculars too are okay but the staff is very rude and even the principal is extremely rude they do not value your time and they don't talk properly. I would not recommend this school.

As someone who has studied in this school for 14 years (LKG-12th), The management is corrupt and unstable. The old, cranky teachers take the thrones here as they've served this school the longest, and they're extremely conservative with developing the school and its structure. They don't admit their mistakes, refuse to listen and will shut down everything they find unfavorable. If you don't want school politics affecting your kids, probably best not to send them here.

This is an excellent school, but ONLY if your child is extroverted and proactive. The environment here does not cater well to introverted and shy kids, and they may need additional private tutoring and encouragement. The student strength is three times larger than any other similar school in the vicinity, with students from across the country. This diversity is DPS's biggest asset, offering exposure to various student behaviors and soft skills, fostering competitiveness that will instill confidence and self-reliance in your child for their academic and professional life. *Infrastructure:* The campus is very well planned and spacious, with well-ventilated classrooms that receive natural light and accommodate up to 40 students per class. The school has high-level surveillance with over three dozen CCTV live feeds in the admin office. However, the toilets need better cleaning, and the corridor near them has a stench of urine. We request the school management to address this promptly. *Admission Process:* I took off-cycle admission (in July) for my kid 1.5 months after the academic year had begun. The admission inquiry and instructions were clear. Admission is first done via an online form on their website, followed by coordination with the school for written tests. Grades are reviewed, an interaction with the principal is conducted, and then clearance is given. The admin office generates a student number and provides login details for parents and students to pay fees. All this was done in two days as I had all the printouts, cheque leafs, documents, certificates, and fees ready. The school bookstore and uniform store are well-stocked; we got everything on the second day. My child started school on the third day via the school bus. 5/5 for the smooth admission process. *Policies:* Parents are NOT allowed beyond the inner school gate. The school has a very strict policy against allowing half-days unless it's a major emergency (death or hospitalization of parents). If required, the process is tedious, and you must be patient at the reception area. The admin will repeatedly remind you of this, yet many parents do not follow the rules and haggle with security and reception, then leave negative feedback online. If kids fall sick or get injured, the school takes care of them in their infirmary with a trained nurse. If the condition is serious, they call the parents, and by the time you arrive, clearance will be ready for you to take your child home. *Academics:* The teaching is excellent, and I have not encountered anything negative about the teachers of any subject. My child is happy attending this school because she is extroverted and proactive (read my opening comment), and she excels in both academics and co-curricular activities. *Communication:* All updates, notifications, homework, circulars, school bus tracking, and fee payments are done via their Entrar app, so you need not go to the school frequently. Parents create their own section-wise WhatsApp groups and are quite active in discussing homework, deadlines, inquiries, etc. *Fees:* Tuition fees are comparably reasonable, though the admission fees is a bummer and must be paid via cheque. Fees can be paid in two installments online, one in June and another in December, with receipts promptly generated. *Extracurricular Activities:* Coaching for tennis, basketball, swimming, and other non-curricular activities is available after school hours for four days a week for an additional fee (around 10k per hobby as of 2023-24) under trained coaches hired by the school. School buses drop the kids off at no extra charge, though the drop-off location may be different. *Transport:* The transport fee is reasonable and must be paid in full. Their coverage is up to 15 km. Every 5 km, the rate doubles, so if you live more than 10 km away, it might be better to arrange your own transport. Doorstep drop is not available unless your house is close to the drop point. All kids are assigned their respective seats, and the condition of the buses is good.

Concerned about teachers teaching their own students in tutorials. Students end up getting more marks as papers are leaked before the exams. Disheartening and frustrated the other non tutorial students become. Strongly recommend that the teachers should avoid their own students in tuitions Ethically!

Transport department is the worst...my kid is not dropped at the point where she is picked. She is dropped at the middle of the road, at the junction, and the worst aayah doesn't even help her to cross the road. Despite repeated complaints to the transport department, the situation has not changed. Each time we call, they shamelessly say everything will be taken care of., But nothing done till date

Studying at DPS North has to be one of the most memorable experiences of my life. From the assembly and classes every day, to waiting in line at the canteen and the bus ride home, I thoroughly enjoyed each day and made some lifelong friends along the way. Having studied under the CBSE curriculum, I can definitely say, the teachers and staff and quite friendly and will support you on you career dreams and aspirations to the fullest extent. They also provide great opportunities to prove yourself in sports and other extra-curricular activities, be it the ATL or the Cricket team with a great ground to play on. Thank you DPS North for such a great experience!
