Agrasain Balika Siksha Sadan, a modern multipurpose girls Higher Secondary School affiliated to the Council for Indian School Certificate Examinations, New Delhi, is the brain child of SRI BASUDEO TIKMANY who conceived about the school far back in the year 1987 and encouraged like-minded members of Agrasain Seva Samity. The necessity for a good English Medium School for complete personality development of students as per International Standards was felt by many social workers, industrialists & members of Agarwal Community in and around Howrah & Kolkata. Generous contributions from the Agarwal Community gave enormous boost to the project & within two years of the foundation laying ceremony on 25th March 1994 by the then Governor of West Bengal, His Excellency Sri K. V. Raghunath Reddy, the school opened its door for students on 3rd June 1996, with 524 girls & 25 teachers under the able stewardship of Sri S. K. Srivastava, the Principal. The School is located Abhoy guha road, Kolkata.

Very bad experience ... students suffer from depression with such pressure .. teachers are incompetent in secondary section. Specially the maths teacher . They give all difficult sums as homework and doesn't even explain it the next day .. teachers give loads of homework.. a student cannot follow her passion if she gets into this school ..
The teachers are very rude .

St agnes will be a better alternative.....I am sharing my personal experience here I have faced Bodyshaming (not as a concern for my health but as an insult) from younger teachers...... Made me suffer from inferiority complex as a teenager so much that I still couldn't forget the incident.....I have studied in this school right from class 4-12 but never could bring myself to like this school....I would like to add if you are unlucky enough you will have Mrs Sumita Dhar as your class teacher..... She legit went to that extent where she told my father I am so indifferent I need a special school for myself if you know what that means....And because I was a shy kid her words were always like "she doesn't talk much but she is very cunning" like why lady? You have a son who is of my age probably older have some empathy you are a teacher!!

This school is not caring about their maintenance. Primery section toilet are very dirty it was not cleand.Little girls are facing problems due to unhygienic circumstances. In class room fans are not working properly and no.of fans are less compared to class strength. In each class 65 student with one teacher then how could they pay attention on our child .There is a limit of students in a class about 40-45 should be in each section so that they get proper attention of teacher and can share their doubt to teacher easily .Here teacher become irritable to seeing to much student in class and they always scold and become angry on girls and they always say "go and sit on your place when girl want to share their doubt, and problems without knowing anything teachers scold on child.
Student will fill with fear that if we ask something to ma'am " mujhe ma'am dant dengi."
If this is known as being a disciplined school then fine it is disciplined school!

Best school for girls not only in Howrah but in whole WB state. Discipline is maintained very accordingly and teachers are good helpers and care takers for the students.

Don’t know about the quality of education but the staff here are highly inadequate. They would blatantly lie and mislead about the admission process and harass the parents. Had really bad experience here. Highly incompetent staff, with zero regards towards parents and students. I had come here for admission purpose and the staffs at the reception blatantly just said that admission won’t happen because they only take admission in nursery. However when I asked them to show the guideline to corroborate the fact they said that we need to take his words as the guideline. This is the most ridiculous statement I’ve ever heard! It is sad to see the state of the school wherein the staffs are highly incompetent, doesn’t have the basic courtesy! Wouldn’t recommend this school to anyone. If I could give negative rating would’ve done that.
