Welcome to Kendriya Vidyalaya Fort william, One of the prestigious and leading institutions of West Bengal, India. It was establish in 1965 and imparts education from class I to X, there was one section each in Commerce & Humanities and two sections in Science stream +2 Level. Nestled within the lush green Army Campus of Fort William, it is a beautiful 3 storied building, comprising of a library, big classrooms, well-equipped Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Junior Science Laboratories, convention hall, and three computer labs equipped with all modern kits. The Vidyalaya has one Basketball and one Volleyball court each. The campus also comprises of a Football cum Cricket field. In addition, there is a nice children's park exclusively for the children of primary classes. It has strength of nearly 2000 students and 80 staff members on roll who together are achieve academic excellence and mould the personalities of the students in order to transform them worthy citizens of the nation. Every year the Vidyalaya prepares many scholars who occupy enviable positions in various occupations in India and abroad.

Fort William is a fort in Hastings, Calcutta (Kolkata). It was built during the early years of Britain's administration of Bengal. It sits on the eastern banks of the River Hooghly, the major distributor of the River Ganges. One of Kolkata's most enduring British-era military fortifications, other than those in Bombay (Mumbai) and Madras (Chennai), it extends over an area of seventy hectares.

I am going to share my true opinion about this school.First of all I am new to this school so my judgement may be clouded but this school has very high rate of indiscipline.Just take a look at their assembly one day.There is full chaos.Also as others say the games period is not so long for higher classes.Some teachers just teach us what is written in the book.They do not bother to teach us the concepts clearly.I just wonder how there are 2000 students studying in this school.

Situated at the banks of river Ganges, this is a central government operated school with CBSE curriculum. Located within the boundaries of Fort Willium, this school is popular among defence personnel. From my limited experience of visiting various schools, this is one of the very few schools that comes to mind with deep affection. I had the opportunity to visit this school during my college days for NCC final exams. The view and surroundings are top notch. I am sure the students have the same feeling as I do for this school. Various sports activities are given prominence here.
