La Martiniere for Girls is deemed one of the best Girls Schools in the nation. A heritage institution that has served the cause of education for 184 years, established in 1836 by Frenchman major general, Claude Martin. A postage stamp was released by the Department of Posts, Government of India during the 175th year celebrations to acknowledge service rendered by the school to society,The Mission statement of the school is to educate the girl Child and build character so that she will contribute to the making of a more equitable and progressive society.From Lower Nursery to Class XII, the focus is on a holistic and pragmatic approach to learning with hands-on experience in every sphere of school life.
