Campion School is a private Catholic primary and secondary school for boys located at 13 Cooperage Road, Mumbai, in the state of Maharashtra, India. Established in 1943 by Jesuit Fr. Joseph Savall, the school is named in honour of Saint Edmund Campion, a 16th-century English Roman Catholic martyr.
The school is housed in Wellesley House on Cooperage Road in the Fort neighbourhood of South west Mumbai. The school is across the street from Cooperage Ground, which is a major soccer stadium in Mumbai, as well as Oval Maidan a city landmark. The school has over 800 students and offers classes at elementary and secondary levels, ranging from preparatory to grade 10. It is affiliated with the ICSE school syllabus and has English as its primary language of instruction.[1]
Campion School has been taking part in most of the inter-school events organized by the Government, and often has prevailed.[2] In a 2009 pan-India survey of day boys schools, conducted by Education World magazine, Campion School was ranked first in the country, and in 2013 it garnered the penultimate place.
Application forms for admission to the Kindergarten (Jr.KG.) will be issued as below. No admission will be made without an application form.
On-line forms will be available from the school website: www.campionschool.in from 24th November, 2022 to 24th December, 2022. On-line forms will not be available after 24th December, 2022 after 5 p.m. Application Fees to be paid online.
The qualifying age (cut-off dates) for admission are as follows : Kindergarten (Jr.KG.): Children born between 1st October 2018 and 31st December 2019
Parents, please note the physical verification of documents will be held in school in the second week of January 2023 only. You will receive the date and time for the same. No reschedule of appointments will be entertained.
Both parents must accompany the child for submission and verification of the printed Application form. Parents must bring the original relevant documents along with the self-attested copies mentioned below.
You will need to come 10 minutes prior to the allotted time of interaction.
1. The Application Form must be downloaded with a Colour printout.
a) No guardians are permitted.
b) If either parent is unable to attend the document review meeting, a letter stating the reason for absence must be provided along with the concurrence of the absentee parent in favor of the application for admission to the school for the child.
2. 1 – Coloured Passport size photo of the child (45 mm x 35 mm)
3. 1 – Coloured Small size — Family photo (10 cm – 4 x 6 cm)
4. Municipal Birth Certificate of the child in English only. Official translation proof is required if not in English.
5. Proof of Residence: i) (Ration card of family/Telephone bill/Electricity Bill/Passport)
ii) Aadhar card of father, mother and child
6. Baptism certificate of the child – in case of Christians only
7. Parents’ academic qualification certificates
8. Ex- students of CAMPION SCHOOL – Copy of the School Leaving Certificate
9. Siblings in CAMPION SCHOOL – Copy of the recent report card
10. Caste Certificate (in the Child’s name) – optional
11. Medical Certificate – Compulsory in case of disability
