Proud Alumini. Completed Xth in 1992.
Had joined St Pius in 1987 from a small Village in Mumbai (Kanjur Marg). Made excellent friends and we are still connected through our WA groups. Our school had and has a huge playground. Those little moments where we would hide planks of wood behind the tree and turn them into cricket bats...buy rubber bands and make a ball out of it... get whacked by Mariyakay miss... (have had the worst of her)... but then, we had wonderful teachers... One of them, who left an impression even after I finished my schooling.
To all those who read this-
Carry that one bit of lesson from your school for a life time.
My lesson was from Mrs Abhyankar, who taught us Marathi, (who's sadly no more)... She was Overweight and was laughed about. One day she stepped up on the dias (the pump room space between the bldgs was our podium). She delivered the thought of the day. Everyone in the gathering were either laughing , giggling, commenting at her very sight. I hesitantly joined them. And then something unusual happened- She wound up her thought for the day and the morning newspaper read, with a beautiful Marathi song. I cant remember that song... But well remember what she said Next when she was finished with her song. I quote
"Talent is Latent- Until unfolded."
It remain etched in my mind and I treasured it for 25 years until I went to build my own company and I coined the Phrase... and I end every speech till date with the same verse!-
A tribute to St. Pius X High School and to the Teachers who build my foundation block of education.
Latent Talent, Talent is Latent- until Unfolded.
There are schools, and there is St. Pius X High School, Mulund

My school, the best. Can never thank enough all the teachers and staff all through the years that I was there. It is still good and a popular choice for Mulundkars.

One of the reputed schools in Mulund West with very good infrastructure. Primary section & Secondary section are functioning in two separate buildings. The Secondary school building has a huge football ground, basketball court, Long jump pit and so on...It also has a very huge community hall (Almost all the school students, teachers can be accommodated in one place at a time.) I am proud alumni of this school 2000 batch. The then management & the teachers were highly experienced and dedicated. (Not sure how the same has been developed in the recent times). One of the negatives of this school is this, its not a Co-ed school, many of the students coming out of this school are not comfortable communicating in public (especially when team mates are opposite gender), this creates a hurdle in over all personality development (An aspect out of Academic scores).

Sub: cacophony
Rev. Fr. George Athaide
School Managing Trustee,
Rev. Fr. Gavin D'Souza
Principal,
Dear Reverend Fathers,
With a
heavy heart, I wish to bring to your notice the distress faced by us residents living adjoining your school grounds.
The students of your esteemed school, St. Pius Tenth High School, Mulund West, regularly have their school brass band music practice adjacent to our residences.
The students begin the brass band music practice using very loud brass musical instruments and drums from about 7:00 a.m. every day in the morning. This music practice continues for around 2 hours and 30 minutes and then resumes around 10 a.m. or 11 a.m. and continues for an indefinite period.
The extremely loud cacophony of the students' brass band music practice on the school's grounds is causing lots of distress to the large population of senior and super senior citizens having numerous age-related and other health problems residing adjoining the school grounds.
The cacophony during the students' practice that begins in the early morning hours and continues almost throughout the first half of the day is causing the ill, senior and super senior citizens severe distress but unfortunately, many of them live all alone and are unable to voice their distress and are suffering in silence.
As I have understood from Rev. Fr. George Athaide, the school's managing trustee, the school brass band practice is an integral part of the school curriculum and is unavoidable. I was also given to understand from Rev. Fr. George Athaide that the school brass band practice is on the school grounds and hence the neighbouring residents do not have a locus standi in that regard.
Hence, I humbly request that both of you reverend fathers consider our request on humanitarian and compassionate grounds for the sake of those ill and senior and super senior citizens living adjoining the school grounds and may you find it in your hearts to do the needful to alleviate our suffering and distress.

I made a lots and lots of memories here,
Mind blowing experiences,
all packed in my backpack named "GOLDEN DAYS"
really enjoyed studying, playing, etc.
really emotional writing this review,
In those days I said "I want to leave this school life.", but I take my words back.
I am really disappointed by google, can't they add 10 star option for this school 😌
