To learn about the school’s culture, we bring to you a look at how New Horizon School Annual Day was celebrated recently by the school.

Annual Day 2023 Celebration:

New Horizon International School has recently celebrated its first annual day by putting on an innovative, authentic, vivid, and fascinating spectacle. The Annual day was celebrated with the theme of Dashavatar, the thought behind it being that Dashavatar, that refers to the ten incarnations of Lord Vishnu, is eternally present in our consciousness. The students dressed up as the ten incarnations of lord Vishnu and performed the several popular tales associated with them. They also put on other fictional drama such as you can comprehend through the moment captured and given below.

Every school celebrates its Annual Day in its own way. But as is the general tradition of Annual Day celebration at schools, the annual day celebration at New Horizon International School was also an event to celebrate the power of education, the value and the beauty of the community, culture and tradition.

The spectacle was contributed to by children dressed up in beautiful costumes and some breathtaking performances. The highlight of the program was the cultural performances by the students as you can see in the pictures. It was a day to celebrate and keep in touch with the legacy of Indian History and Culture for the coming ages.

The Annual Day required coordination of the teaching staff, the non teaching staff and most importantly, the students. The teachers helped the students prepare for the performances in every aspect. Most importantly, as students could be faced with stage-fright, it was crucial for the teachers to break the inhibitions and get them out of their comfort zones and not feel conscious of the judgments and feedback. Not only that, parents’ coordination was also required for the same and also, to show up at the event to make the children confident and encourage them to partake in such celebrations in future too. The celebration proved to be a success and the school appreciated the students, staff, sponsors and the parents for their respective contributions.

Conclusion:

Annual Day is celebrated in all schools and colleges. The day is a celebration of school’s and students’ achievements throughout the year and to felicitate them for those achievements. To keep students up to the spirits, give their best in not only the New Horizon International School academics but also encourage them to be active in extracurricular activities, through various prize distributions. As it was the first Annual Day celebration of New Horizon International School, already in the race of the best Cambridge schools in Bangalore, it was essential to put on an impeccable display, and significantly, the school succeeded in doing so. Other schools may celebrate their Annual Day differently, and as the NHIS school or NHIS Bangalore did not have a history of itself to celebrate, it found a way to do so by celebrating the legacy of NHEI and Indian traditions. New Horizon School Annual Day was hosted by one of the teachers and the main audience of the program were the parents as the performers were the students. We can conclude that the first Annual Day celebration at New Horizon International School was a great success, there might be room for improvement as there always is, nevertheless, as the first, it lacked not in spirits and effort.

The day was important for NHIS Bangalore as a unit to establish its roots in the education sector. The event was a chance for NHIS school to announce its arrival in the list of best schools in Bangalore, and best international schools in Bangalore, and most importantly, for the students to show off their potential.
