Admissions

Choosing a learning environment for one’s child is a big step and involves many considerations. Does the home agree with the approach and philosophy of the school? Do parents share and agree with what the school stands for? Can we work together in the interest of the child?

Our admissions process is transparent. Selection is based entirely on vacancy and our ability to meet the needs of the child. We do not entertain external pressure, political or otherwise and any attempts to influence/pressurise admission decisions through letters and/or calls on behalf of applicants will not be appreciated.

All application processes are done online exclusively via our website. We do not issue hard copies of our Application Forms.

Interested parents are requested to study the online application procedure and maintain deadlines. Our admissions team reviews every application received, and tries to accommodate students based on vacancy and interest.

Fees are to be paid only after admission has been offered. On confirmation of admission, our accounts department will send parents the school’s bank details so an online transfer can be made.

Admission Policies

Online Admissions

• All admissions are handled online. We do not issue hard copies of our Application Forms.
• Online Applications for admission are made available exclusively on our website.
• Prior to opening of admissions, we post a notice on our website. Interested parents are requested to follow such notices.
• Admission to HSEA is based on vacancy.

Parent/School Interaction

The first step is to get to know each other and this happens through an interaction between interested parents and us. We also like to interact independently with the children applying. This enables us to understand their interests, their uniqueness and learning styles. It is imperative that both parents and child are in agreement with our approach and philosophy. Admissions are finalised based on these interactions and communicated via email.

Enrolment

Once admission has been confirmed, parents will be requested to pay the fees for the year via bank transfer within a specified period of time. They will also be asked to confirm details such as residential address, telephone numbers and emergency contact information. If a child’s parents are divorced or separated, the school will request certified copies of relevant documents to substantiate the circumstances, including ones related to custody.

Continuation of Enrolment

Vacancies in each grade are identified in the last term of the Academic Year for the coming Academic Year. Parents, whose children will not be continuing for the next Academic Year starting in June, must inform the school by the previous February. Similarly, applications for Transfer Certificates must be submitted by February and will be issued by the last day of the Academic Year.

Fees

Fees are required to be paid for the whole Academic Year in advance, on or before the due date given. Parents are requested to keep in mind that the place for their child is reserved for the entire year and not a part of it.

Should a parent/parents experience financial difficulties they may address a letter to the Managing Trustee and request for payment in two instalments. They are requested to submit their payment arrangements/dates in writing.
