About National Academy For Learning

Established in 1994 by Dr.

Established in 1994 by Dr. K.P. Gopalkrishna, we are part of the prestigious National Public group of schools. An exclusive, international school located in Basaveshwarnagar, West Bengaluru, we are a co-educational, day boarding unit. Throughout our journey, we have delivered consistently high academic standards with several Top in Country and Top in World Cambridge awards coming our way.We were set up as a bridge between schools following the Indian educational system and those following various international curricula, thereby allowing children from different academic backgrounds to settle in well with our flexible, progressive learning environment. All our work from Montessori / Kindergarten to grade 12, puts the child at the heart of learning and personal development. We believe that the emotional wellbeing of our children is key to successful academic outcomes. With our strong USP of small classrooms, we are able to monitor and connect closely with our children on a daily basis. Our students are encouraged to think freely, work responsibly and look out for each other as a team. Building a ring of confidence in class, we have Circle Time classes every week as an engaging, democratic and creative approach to managing issues such as bullying, poor self-esteem, anger management and peer pressure. The meaningful interactions help us build self-awareness, inner resilience and keen emotional intelligence. Our caring, creative and well-organised environment offers a multi-cultural context with special emphasis on global and local themes, promoting at the same time, political and cultural sensitivities. Some unique features of our school include:- An inclusive approach that embraces students from diverse nationalities,A well-planned curricula of international standards,Individualised learning opportunities with hands-on doing and sharing,Active teaching-learning strategies and tools of information technologyin the classroom,Well qualified and trained facultyin Indian and international curricula,Strong pastoral care that is sensitive to the needs of all age groups,Mutually supportive parent-teacher relationships,Ambitious programmes that build self-esteem, communication and social responsibility,Competitive thrust on sports, games, yoga, Taekwondo, aerobics, art, music, dance and work-experience

Both my children studied in this school. The older one studied until 5th grade and the younger one till 1st. We relocated and so we had to change school. I am a very happy parent as far as the school is concerned. Both my children loved this school. As per their feedback the teachers are very kind. They give them their space. They learn chapters through activities and so they understand concepts rather than mug up their chapters. The teachers ensure discipline is maintained and everybody in class gets a chance to voice their opinion. They feel very happy about being in school. I have noticed the children from the school have tremendous gratitude for what they have and very grounded. In conclusion, this is one of the best schools in Bangalore. The Principal, the teachers and the entire staff is very professional, at the same time very polite and considerate.

I am so happy to see that parents have raised valid concerns over the style of education imparted by these so called educators at this falsely famous school or rather torture chamber called naphl or nps run by this family. Ita been decades I left school. I could never completely get over the humiliation and physical and emotional trauma this school left me with. In our times the parents beleived the education institutions blindly and believed that something was wrong with their own children they never stood for the child. But in so glad to read the comments here... My heart is full of tears and overwhelmed as I read these parents taking a stand against the sheer atocratic atrocity these heartless educators show .. they have minutes millions imparting such education and millions traumatized... Children shouldn't be treated like this. Ever. Send them to Gaza instead, I think... But don't put them in shantammas and gopalkriahnas school.. I have nothing but regret and anger and angst in me even after so many years... If ur parents also believe the school, then you are doomed. The school manages to make you believe the worst about yourself. They should re name their school and call it national army school, even those are better I think. Please spare this school.. look out at other much humane schools available today. Don't put your son or daughter through this torture if you love them.

I suppose most of the negative reviews are by people who were not able to get an admission for their wards to the school. Getting admission here is really tough. Children of working professionals are preferred. But after the admission is done your child is like their child. Extremely polite teachers, great environment and wow , what a principal. Mrs Indira is a role model. Absolutely practical and a great communicator. We set right a lot of things we were doing wrong with our kids thanks to her short and crisp advices. Academics is the priority but having said that the children have several activities to choose from. Great school overall. Trust them and your kids should be fine.

My friends niece, a 3rd grader has been abused and physically hit by teacher here. They are demeaning and demoralize the kids as opposed to teaching them with care and nurture them patiently. Toxic school to be in or school should be selective about their teachers. Be wary!

My child was admitted into this school and during the interview, they had an issue that she had high eye power. We still urged that it was illegal to not admit the child based on physical ailments and they reluctantly took her in. After that, every single day has been a nightmare. My child has been the constant focus of torture from her teachers and peers. My child was ridiculed in the classroom, her peers would bully her quoting the same, and the teachers made no attempt to curb the bullying. Incomplete home work was never communicated to the parents, and it was expected that we telepathically get it completed. As a form of punishment, my child has continually been held back from attending lunch and creative classes. They have made no attempt to try and teach her a second time, if she didn't understand the first time, and have blamed my child for not picking up the syllabus. HORRIBLE SCHOOL WITH EXTREMELY PREJUDICED TEACHERS! IT'S DISGUSTING THAT EDUCATORS WITH BIAS ON APPEARANCE STILL EXIST!!!

I had a bad experience with this school for 4 Years.Teachers do not check notebooks, No quality of teaching, Its a Money Making Factory. They collect huge amounts for Picnic to sports day, and beat this - To Maintain MIS and sending SMS, too ! My Older child studied in NPS, and just because this belongs to the same Group I had put my younger child here. A Bad Decision, at the outset ...

One of the leading, popular, famous, excellent, high standard, edition centre and school, with excellent staff, having classes from 1st standard to 12th standard, earlier and now few classes run under CBSE Board Syllabus, now rest all are under the International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) A Level Board, it's run the well known National Public School (NPS) Group, having schools in India and Singapore

Can't say how the inner system or education is going on. But infrastructure is maintained well.,spacious, cc TV service is provided, school locality is calm. Fees is high, this school is for rich people and highly influentials, NRIs. But being in Bengaluru if out city children are not benefited by a educators body and facilities, it's in favor of NRIs, then it's a matter of thinking. It's matter of priority.
