A new star in the firmament of education blazed across the horizon in 1958, when the PSBB School in Nungambakkam was established by an enterprising group of housewives under the auspices of the Nungambakkam Ladies Recreation Club. The historic first step on the journey towards excellence was taken with 13 students in a thatched shed on the terrace of the residence of the Dean & Director of the school, Dr. (Mrs.) Y.G. Parthasarathy. Today the school has three branches with more than 8000 students and around 500 staff members.

This school has absolutely no remorse and shame when it comes to people dying . I'm deeply hurt and disappointed to be a psbbian . A parent has died in the school premises about 24 hours ago and the school has not yet put out any statement with regards to it. This is utterly disappointing. So much of pride .

This school was assigned as a center for CTET Exam 2023 on 20th August 2023. None of the people who accompanied the candidates who presented for the exam were treated well. None of them were allowed inside the gate, no basic facilities like water or bathrooms were provided. Not even they were allowed for lunch inside. Many who came with their family and children were sitting on the road side pavements and children were sleeping there under the hot sun. Would they treat their family members like this? The securities were rude while asking them not to stand near the gate. None of them would have stood near the gate if they were allowed in at least to the ground. If they want to treat general public who are coming to attend a government exam the way they treat their students and their family, why do they bother allowing exam to happen in the first place? WORST TREATMENT EVER.

Worst institution!!! They don’t treat their alumnus well at all! They humiliate them at the first opportunity they get! The recent cultural event reverberations is an example of how not to conduct one. There is no proper channel for communication between schools. The current nungambakkam branch Principal insulted and humiliated my son (alumnus of psbb), now studying in APL global school, when he went to participate in the cultural event today to know if his submission for an event has a prize or not. He was asked to ‘get out’ and outsiders do not have a place in this event. Several teachers including the principal Ms. Vasanthi cornered him and yelled at him continuously. They may be good in academics but absolutely abysmal in treating students outside their school. Such crass behaviour with a minor is unacceptable. This has affected my son’s self esteem to a great extent. So much from a school claiming to impart Sanantan Values. I only see the opposite and teachers instead of setting an example are behaving otherwise. Please exercise caution when thinking about this school for you child. Your child may grow up to be the most self centered living creature.

Called the admin office to enquire about admission as I heard we have to submit application forms by Dec. When I told the team about this they said please discuss with fellow parent and get your admission done. Definitely, this is not the right way to talk to a parent who is trying to understand the admission process. Admin team must understand that they are the face of the school and first entry point. This very well shows how the management would be. Definitely not going to proceed with PSBB. Parents-Teacher-Students must all be treated with good respect.
