Srinivasa Sastry, G. Narasimhan and Dr N.C. Raghavachari, known for their public spirit and service mindedness, The Hindu Educational Organisation started educational institutions one after the other, signifying their commitment to the noble cause of education.Started in the year 1978, The Hindu Senior Secondary School, Indira Nagar, is one among the three schools run by The Hindu Educational Organisation. At present it is headed by Shri. B.S. Raghavan, I.A,S. Retd., and the managing committee consisting of distinguished persons from different walks of life. They guide and manage the functioning of the school with focus on providing value based quality education.The school is affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi and has classes up to Class XII, with English as the medium of instruction.The school is situated in the heart of Indira Nagar, a two storied structure consisting of spacious classrooms, well ventilated, airy with adequate furniture. The school has a very good infrastructure with well equipped laboratories, library, computer center and audio visual room.The aim of the school is to provide value based education with a view to develop the mind and personality of each child; to inculcate the qualities of leadership, to instill Indian culture and respect for the noble ideals and norms of the society; to provide comprehensive education aiming at their intellectual, physical, social and spiritual development and growth, the Continuous and Comprehensive Evaluation (CCE) has been introduced for Classes I to X. The school provides a caring environment where students are stimulated to learn and improve their creative skills. Co-curricular activities and other programmes are designed for an optimum intellectual growth and overall development of the child. The school has an impressive track record of more than three decades of service in the field of education.

Please don't sabotage your children's future by putting them in this school. Absolute waste of 2.2 acres in the prime locality of Indira Nagar. Something else more productive and useful could've been set up with all that area and with all the money spent to build that dumpyard of a school. A literal dumpyard of Brahmins who r shown extreme levels of favouritism by the teachers and management in general. It absolutely sucks at extra curricular activities with the students there having the charisma of a wooden spoon. Same goes for the teachers. Very less of them have really left an impact on me. Students for extra activities like sports and music are literally picked based on how meritorious they are. Literally, a teacher justified picking a guy for the school band who's a pretty meritorious student but an average keyboard player compared to my even more talented classmate even tho he's just meh in academics. Just stupid, stupid with an S. The entire system is just a big bloody mess. Adyar is a wonderful place with good schools in and around the area. But pls don't look at Hindu. Just don't. You'll regret it.

I have been studying in this school from UKG till now, and in my opinion, the school is great, there has been many new blocks. And the infrastructure has improved. The teachers teach very well and the intraction in the class is amazing.

This is a wonderful school. All the teachers are friendly and kind to children and they give spaces for children's extra talents . Sport activities are superb .

My daughter studied 1st to 9th (2010-2018) . This is a worst school they are not encouraging the students who all average or below average. The maths teacher could use to sit and teach in the class. The Principal and vice principal was very rude towards us. Since nine years they are coaching is very bad. This school is not all worst for LKG too.since if you get low Mark's they are not taking attention to get good Mark's.The principal teases that school fees is low over here so she is pushing the kids out of this school. Low fees, low education and waste school in this locality. Kindly don't go and ask for admission over there better try some other good school than this
