The vibrant celebration of Durga Puja at Keyes High School For Girls ground in Secunderabad was a mesmerizing experience. The air buzzed with excitement as the school grounds transformed into a cultural haven, adorned with colorful decorations and sparkling lights. The beats of dhak drums and the enchanting aroma of incense filled the atmosphere. The pandal, a magnificent replica of a traditional Bengali temple, housed the resplendent idol of Goddess Durga.
Families, students, and locals gathered to witness the grandeur, participating in prayers, cultural programs, and feasting on delectable Bengali cuisine. The spirit of unity and festivity was palpable, creating an unforgettable sense of community. The evening concluded with the immersion procession, where the goddess bid farewell amidst joyous chants and dancing. Durga Puja at Keyes High School For Girls ground was not just a religious celebration but a cultural extravaganza that left an indelible mark on the hearts of all who attended.

The school, where I spent my entire childhood, growing up here and making friends here. A life spent in this school is the one that I always dream of going back to and 13 long years, without doubt, I would say, that was the best phase of my entire life. I am ever grateful to my parents, who enrolled me in this school for my schooling. And I am glad that I could learn to read and write my Mother Tongue Thamizh. A journey to remember for a lifetime. Thank you to each and every soul that made it a count for me. The year that I passed out, this school completed 125 years since its inception and that was icing on the cake.

Appreciate their patronage for Bengali festivals as they allow to arrange Durga Puja, Lakshmi Puja, Kali Puja and Saraswati Puja at school premises. Today, it being a weekday for Telangana State, school functioned normally , at the same time, at one corner 'Batayan' ( Bengali Cultural Organization) held Saraswati Puja on the occasion of Vasant Panchami. The puja became really auspicious when the tiny tots stepped at the puja premises, had 'Darshan' of Goddess of Learning- Devi Saraswati and then came back to their respective classrooms with a sweet meat gift presented by Batayan. There was no chaos. No indiscipline. The event of bhog distribution also went in an orderly way from 1 pm. Keyes school is a blessing for Bengalis living out of their home town.

Saraswathi nilayam , abode of Goddess of Knowledge is the appropriate name for this great and eminent institution. The main building was opened on 22 nd of August 1936.!!!
Since then innumerable untiring, selfless, devoted teachers have carved out world class scholars, scientists, doctors, technologists, musicians , great teachers, authors and most of all good mothers and great citizens from the innocent girls entering this great school at a tender age of 6 or 7 years.
My humble pranaams to all those lofted souls for their contribution in establishing this institution and taking to high level of standards and keeping the traditional values intact by allowing wonderful Carnatic music concerts to be hosted in this spacious centrally located great place of learning.,🙂👏👏👏👏
