About Salwan Public School

Our founder, Late Pt.
Our founder, Late Pt. Girdhari Lal Salwan was born in 1902 when only the privileged class had an access to quality education. Pt. Girdhari Lal Salwan a visionary, vowed to impart education to the needy from all sections of society free of cost. He thereby laid the foundation of Salwan Education Trust in 1942. Through the Salwan Sanatan Dharam High School for Boys and Salwan Sanatan Dharam High School for Girls which came into being in 1942 in Peshawar he realized his dream of education for all. The Salwan Boys School (1949), Salwan Girls School (1952) and Salwan Public School (1953) in New Delhi are the epitome of his commitment towards providing education to the children of resurgent India in the post-independence era. A man of great foresight, Pt. G.L. Salwan had conceptualized the idea of sharing of facilities and resources between Public Schools and the schools for the underprivileged. This beautiful Public Private Partnership which guarantees optimum utilization of resources can be seen in the five schools in the Rajendra Nagar campus. " The best quality of a teacher should be his sense of justice and impartiality. All children should be equal to him whether they are rich or poor, Hindu or Muslim, high or low. You should educate the children so that they may feel proud and confident of themselves. They should not consider themselves inferior in any way to the children of any other school. I am committed to the cause of education. Education for All - Whether they can afford it or not." Said Late Shri Girdhari Lal Salwan ji. Today, 14 schools are being run successfully under the aegis of Salwan Education Trust. Our vision is to create a school which is at the heart of the community and bursting with happy learners who are enthusiastic about exploring the world around them. Our aim is to create a fun and stimulating learning environment where every day is a magical voyage of discovery for children. We want to nurture responsible global citizens who are sensitive to other cultures and people. We encourage our students to respect their environment, develop a social conscience and give something back to society. The motto Service Before Self symbolizes the ability to face challenges and to render selfless service to society, for joy lies in giving and sharing rather than receiving. Our logo, The Rising Sun symbolizes the emergence of the light of knowledge, dispelling the darkness of ignorance. We, at Salwan Public School, are committed to personal excellence of each student by imparting holistic quality education enriched with high moral values in a healthy competitive learning environment. Our Vision is based on innovative learning methodology , an unwavering commitment to academics, continuous improvement and cultivation of life skills.

I studied here from class 2nd to 12th and I can confidently say that my experience was nothing short of memorable. The faculty and staff were incredibly knowledgeable, supportive, and dedicated to helping me succeed. They went above and beyond to ensure that I had access to the resources I needed to excel academically, and were always available to answer any questions or concerns I had. But it wasn't just the academic support that made my time at school so special - the culture of the school was holistic and nurturing. I felt like I was part of a tight-knit community that truly cared about my well-being and growth as a person. The extracurricular activities and programs offered allowed me to explore my interests and develop new skills, all while making lifelong friendships along the way. I highly recommend Salwan Public School to anyone looking for an exceptional educational experience. The faculty and staff are top-notch, the culture is supportive and holistic, and the opportunities for growth and development are endless. Thank you for providing me with such a wonderful foundation for my future.

I studied here since Kindergarten to Grade 12 and my time in the school has been extremely memorable. The faculty and staff were incredibly supportive, and dedicated to helping me succeed every step of the way. They were always available to answer any questions or concerns I had. But it wasn't just the academic support that made my time at school so special - the culture of the school was holistic and nurturing. I felt like I was part of a tight-knit community that truly cared about my well-being and growth as a person. I made some lifelong friends and I still cherish every moment spent in the school. The extracurricular activities and programs offered allowed me to explore my interests and develop new skills. I wouldn't want to go to any other school. I highly recommend Salwan Public School to anyone looking for an exceptional educational experience. The faculty and staff are top-notch, the culture is supportive and holistic, and the opportunities for growth and development are endless.

First of all I will say think 10 times before getting your child admission to this school. I am sharing my real experience with you all. 1. This is a non ac school. You can double check if you want with website or school. 2. Even fan of classrooms in month of May when temperature is above 45 does not work you can cross check with parents whose students are studying in this school in session 2022-2023. Now I have moved out my kid from this school 3. Admission process and staff - They will make you feel like a government school and will make you to visit multiple times to school if you need anything. 4. Even if you sibling studying in this school and too many sheets are open they will show off you that admission to this school is very difficult. 5. Even if you apply after 20March - 15 April you can get admission as sheets are always vacant but you have to visit 3-10 times to show your child need admission and they will showoff admission to salwan is very difficult. They will call you after 7-10 days that you kid has been selected for admission. 6. The biggest thing we expect education that is below average in this school this current feedback of my last 3-4 year experience with this school. This is my personal experience and feed back you can cross check with existing students and their parents to know more about this school. When you change you kid school you have to again submit admission fees. So think 10 times and decide then which school is best for you child. Yes one more thing The behaviour of the staff towards the candidates,/ parents was very poor. The basic etiquettes were missing. After every negative review they post 4-5 positive or high star reviews to hide them 😀 Thank You

It used to be one of good schools in mid fee range; however since 2021, it has become worse than a government school. No teachers for several months, lack of basic facilities like fans, light, clean washrooms etc. School is least bothered by parents feedback and complaints. The administration has started behaving like dictators. Academic wise also, kids are lacking in each subject as there are no teachers for several subjects for many months. Better to avoid this school and go to some local schools in your locality. They are even better than this.
