About The School

Jyothi Vidyalaya is a co-education school recognized by the Govt. of Telangana and has classes from LKG to X Standard. It was started on 9th July 1979 with about 500 students by sisters of St.Anne, Phirangipuram. Rev.Sr.Lucy was the founder principal of the school and she was succeeded by Rev.Sr.Gnana Sundari in 1987, then by Rev.Sr. Hrudaya Mary in August 1993 and later by Rev. Sr. Thomasamma in August 1996. The Sisters of St. Anne withdrew in June 1998 and the school management went into the hands of M/s Rishi UBR Educational Society till May 2003. During the time of Rishi management Smt. Vijaya Lakshmi was the In charge HM.

 

From June 2003 at the request of Rt. Marempudi Joji Arch bishop of Hyderabad, the School Management was taken over by the DIVINE WORD EDUCATIONAL SOCIETY of SVD Fathers of Medak Catholic Mission, under the leadership of Rev. Fr. Joy Joseph SVD as the correspondent and Rev. Fr. Varghese Chalamana as the in charge H.M. From June 2004 to May 2007 Rev. Fr. Ambrose Beck SVD was the correspondent and Head Master of JVHS.Once again from June 2007 Rev. Fr. Varghese Chalamana shouldered the responsibility of school management as the correspondent. He was succeeded by Rev. Fr. Venance Asirvatham, SVD as correspondent of JVHS from Aug. 2014 to Oct. 2016, who was succeeded by Rev. Casmir D.Souza SVD, as the correspondent till 14th March 2017.

 

From 15th March 2017 onwards Rev. Fr. Varghese Chalamana took charge as correspondent of Jyothi Vidyalaya for the third time to boost up the glory of the school till Sep 2018. From Oct. 2018 till date Fr. Ambrose is the correspondent and took the school to further heights by starting CBSE for classes I to V from June 2019. From June 2007 Smt. N. Jayasree was the H.M. and was succeeded by Smt. V. Uma Maheshwari who was appointed as H.M. in June 2017 & continues to be so
