The great Mrs Prem Bhatnagar a well known social worker of our country laid the foundation stone of an institution that has fame in the northeast district, Delhi. The purpose of Vidya Vihar Vidyalaya is to equip the younger generation of society so that they can excel in all walks of life. In the year 1971, on the day of Basant Panchami, It’s seed was sown which is continuously progressing towards becoming an educational perfectionist and has also succeeded in that enormously. The Institute was inaugurated in the overwhelming presence of Mrs Lalita Shastri, wife of former prime minister late Shri Lal Bahadur Shastri.

OVER THE SPAN OF 50 GLORIOUS YEARS, THE SCHOOL HAS SET SEVERAL BENCHMARKS UNDER THE DYNAMIC LEADERSHIP OF ITS FOUNDRESS (MRS) PREM BHATNAGAR. FROM ONE TEACHER-ONE PUPIL TO 4 BRANCHES OF VIDYA VIHAR SCHOOLS AND WITH OVER TEN THOUSAND GRADUATED STUDENTS, VVS HAS ACCOMPLISHED MANY MILESTONES.

Since 1972, when Ms Prem Bhatnagar laid the foundation stone of this institution the purpose of Vidya Vihar Vidyalaya is to equip the younger generation of society with value-based quality education so that they can excel in all walks of life. It was the day of Basant Panchami, the birth anniversary of Maa Saraswati (Goddess of Knowledge) when the seed for Vidya Vihar Vidyalaya was sown. Ever since then, we have grown enormously setting a new benchmark for the quality of education in Delhi
