Sri Jugal Kishore Birla and Sri Ghanashyam Das Birla had a great role in setting up this school in 1920. It is an English medium, higher secondary and private school. It is run by a parent body 'Shikhshayatan Foundation '. It is affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education. Here additional features are swimming pool, basketball, karate, canteen, computer etc. It has been acquired as a result of contesting the British Council International School Award many times. The outcome is satisfactory.

My child studies in this school from pre primary to class x passed out in 2020. It had class room with two fan for 40 student and desk for the student was too small & classes have no proper ventilation (with only 2 fans for 40 student) as I found out during my orientation for new classes. Student are discourage to opt particular stream(science) even if student have good marks and offered humanities stream. Science stream for class xi is offered to the student of other school so that they can get maximum admission charges. As I think my experience with school for 13(Thirteen) years was not encouraging.

A very good school for academics and co-curricular activity. I was a student in this school from class L.K.G to class 10 AISSCE 2020. Twelve years spent in this school.Nice environment, teachers are strict, discipline is maintained and good facilities of library, swimming pool, basketball, karate, computer classes and affordable canteen and high fees from class 9.

I've spent 13 yrs of my life here.. In 2017 I completed schooling from here.. Now I am a teacher in a CBSE school. But in these 6yrs I realise how my I miss my school. The spent the most golden period of my life here... My heart still lies there.. They have made me what I'm today. I shall always be thankful to this school and all the teachers who have guided me ❤

I wouldn't have given a single star.... worst school.... don't take admission here... most of the teachers are very rude here ... specially in class XI science stream teachers they harass the students ...... torcher the students.... if you want your child future to be secure please go for some other schools... there are many other good schools in kolkata but don't take admission here.... the teachers here destroys the students future .
