Not sure what the hate towards the school in the reviews is all about. NPS is a great institute that instills discipline yet provides the platform and independence to pursue other crafts. The peer group the school provides is second to none and there are ample opportunities to step into leadership positions in various activities.

I studied in this school several years ago. It is next only to hell with terrible, insensitive teachers. Please don’t take this as the rantings of a disgruntled student. Over the years, I have contacted several alumni and have heard similar horror stories. The teachers use verbal abuse and even physical means such as slapping to get their way. Jacintha Mathew, Sumitra Bagchi, Sharmila Datta are some of the worst ones. I have fallen prey to the cruel treatment meted out by them. Not just me. Several students have reported that their self esteem has taken a severe toll due to these so called “caretakers of education and learning.” I think these teachers are still members of the staff in NPS. Please do not enroll a piece of your heart here. The mind of a child is innocent and tender. The behavior of such teachers causes a deep impact on one’s self-respect and personality, which takes several years of therapy and introspection to heal. The school is certainly not worth it. There are far far better schools in Bangalore.

NPS Indiranagar, failed on 3 counts - 1. On 14 Jan 2023, when they conducted the entrance exam from Classes 2 to Class 10, prospective candidates nor parents, were informed that everyone should enter through the Sai Darshan road entrance as the School is spread between 2 roads. All anxious parents and students were made to run around, like in the Railway station, if the announcement, is made about a change in the platform - Not well organized or thought of the plan. 2. On the website or email or sms, no information had been provided, so far, about the entrance exam results or candidates who were selected. No realistic expectations were set - only Vague, Endless wait. Is it lottery or what? Its high time, they change at least for Academic year 2024-2025. No Corporate Social Responsibility nor Value for Ethics and Principles. Whatever position, the principal or founder are IN, it's all because of Society and they should reciprocate the faith and trust in kind. Even the Birla Institute of Technology, Indian Institute of Technology, and the University of Massachusetts send out Selection letters or Regret letters, informing the outcome of the entrance exam after due diligence of the Selection procedure. Except getting a royalty from Franchisees by posting Dr.KP.Gopalakrishnan's photo, in every nook and corner of Bangalore, I didn't find any worth in the School Ethics, Selection procedures, transparency, or integrity. What would they inculcate and impart, when they themselves are deficient of ethics? They are not feeling accountable for the Rs600 School brochure and an Application form that parents and students have bought from them and NPS Indiranagar are not safeguarding nor deserving of the trust set on them. This callous and negligent treatment of prospective applicants will surely affect NPS Indiranagar's brand image in the short and long run. 3. Any emails to Smt.Shanta. V.P(Principal of National Public School Indiranagar) Smt. Santha Gopalakrishna(Founder Director) nor Smt.Bindu Hari (the Academic head of NPS group), will not receive any response or accountability. It's like email hits a Vacuum and eternal, perennial silence. They are NOT realising that Society made them in whatever position they are in and they are socially responsible to revert. No Grievance Redressals are addressed as such. Hope they make amends to their Esoteric, Cult-like approach at least for admissions for Academic Year 2024 to 2025.

This place is right behind huge Bsnl Office opposite to empire restaurant. At first you get may get confused finding this place as they do not have any visible board of school. Coming to school, it is one of the best educational institutions in bangalore. It was established by KP Gopala krishna Sir. The school has many franchise center in bangalore like NPS kalkere, NPS white field, NPS Jalahalli to name the latest around bangalore. It's core branches are in Indiranagar, Rajaji nagar, Koramangala, HSR layout, in bangalore and one in Mysore, Singapore, Chennai each. They hire highly qualified teachers and the pay is pretty handsome. Not a single staff were asked to leave the institution during tough Covid times which speaks to self on how much they care the staffs over there. Education: they follow CBSE syllabus and needless to say it has the best teachers who are children centric and always willing to go extra mile to help children. Teachers provide constructive feedbacks regularly to both parents and students. They are also known for good sports records and extra curricular activities apart from academics.

National Public School Admission Procedure

Parents seeking admission to National Public School, Indiranagar, for various classes are requested to register online with the following documents attached

  • Copy of Birth Certificate or Aadhaar card, as applicable
  • Copy of last 3 years academic progress report from the previous school

The completed registration forms with all documents will be accepted at the school Reception on all working days between 10:00 am and 12:00 noon.

A large number of parents seek admission to National Public School, Indiranagar. We would like to inform every parent that we have very limited seats available. As per the policy and directive of CBSE (Central Board of Secondary Education), we have the following guidelines for admission. Even the department of education follows the same.

  1. The first priority is for siblings. Applications from siblings are usually more than twice the number of seats available.
  2. The second priority is for children of our teachers and other staff members.
  3. Priority for admission is also listed for alumni of our school. As you are aware, NPS has been functioning since 1959. Children of the alumni group are also many.
  4. The next preference is for the nationally mobile group, including central services and other transferable services of India.
  5. There is also another category of people who are internationally mobile coming from schools outside India. Bangalore is seeing a large number of this migratory group who are seeking admission to NPS.
  6. Now the government prioritises admission for minorities from different states of India to promote national integration.
  7. Admissions to Grades II to IX will depend on the vacancies likely to arise on account of withdrawal due to parents’ transfer.

To have an effective teaching learning process, we maintain limited class strength. Considering the limited number of seats available, it is expected that those who seek admission will realize and understand the constraints the institution faces. The disappointment of not getting admission should not become a matter of unhappiness among parents.
