Admission Information for Mid-Session Tranfer Cases
For students entering AGS during:
9th grade or between 9th and 10th grade
11th grade or between 11th and 12th grade
Changing schools in the middle of a Session can be problematic as schools do not always offer the same CIE/ IB subjects and each school covers the content at different times. However, the IBO is well aware that students sometimes need to transfer from school to school and we at AGS try to do our best to help students through the transition.
Mid-program transfers involve the sharing of information and CIE/IB documentation from school to school through the CIE/IB Coordinators. As a matter of testing security, CIE/IBO expects that all assessment documentation to be handled by the Coordinators, not the student.
Transfer students should request the listed information from their current teachers and program Coordinator. If at all possible, all materials can be sent as a single package to arrive before the student starts at AGS.
Students can play their part by having all their previous year’s school work available and the additional listed information for their new teachers. Please note that it can take up to two months to clear shipments so subject binders are best carried in for the start of school.
